Do any of you have recommendations on where I can get a good quality shirt printed with a design? There are tons of custom the shirt websites but this is my first time so I have no idea what to pick.

Also I have no idea what type of shirt material to use. Help, please?

I forgot to clarify I plan on selling these shirts, so they need to look somewhat professional.

Sorry m8, sadly i doubt we can be much help.

I recommend learning screenprinting. It isn't a very complicated process. Just watch some YouTube videos.

If you'd really rather leave quality out-house, I have some Custom Ink t-shirts that are alright, but I dunno how their prices are.

My school club usually works out deals with local screenprinting services, so I have limited experience with websites. If you can find a screenprinter near you, totally tell them your story, see some samples, and see if you can cut a deal. The worst you'll get is "no". Maybe talk to T-shirt sellers and ask where they get their screenprinting done.

As for your belated answer to your other question-

Ringspun cotton jersey is high quality and cost for cotton tees. Cotton in general is comfortable against your skin because it is absorbent. Cotton doesn't dye in bright colors, so your field will wash-down overtime until it is in that "comfort color" range.

100% polyester is cheaper, prone to static, holds moisture uncomfortably against skin, dyes in vibrant colors and potentially never fades. (Depends when at what stage the polyester yarns we're dyed.)

A cotton/poly blend will have a blend of these traits. Any other fiber choice would be unusual.

I do not know how cotton or polyester likes screenprinting, but Alexander McQueen uses ringspun cotton. What's good enough for him is good enough for me.

Fuck, thanks anyways man.

I'll definitely do that. Oh nice I actually was on Custom Ink earlier putting a design on a tee. What's the quality of the shirt and the print like? I'm hoping to sell these so I want to make a good first impression with the overall quality.

thanks for the advice it's been a bitch trying to find answers, thanks once again!!

Compared to other fields (say, computer programming), fashion is more about networking than education. That makes sense, as fashion is more people-oriented than fact-oriented. College is worth it with a good enough scholarship, but Google won't teach anything. People hide their trade secrets.

You pretty much have to find people who can connect you with information/supplies/services/w/e. As a fashion student, designers and other industry people have been very kind and genuinely excited for my opinions as the next generation. (successful fashion people aren't as scary as I thought, lol.) I'm sure a young entrepreneur would receive similar attention. Either that, or I get special attention as a cute girl because many of these people are young men. Hopefully that's just coincidental.

I got to meet some awesome people and briefly tour some restricted areas, just because I sent an email or asked the manager some questions. It's a fun way to learn. …I can't find that shirt, so here's a funny screenshot instead. :< Just order samples if you don't have friends opinions on custom website shirts.

Wow thank you for the advice, it's been tough. Yeah I'm slowly realizing that as I do more research, most people are reluctant to give up techniques, which is understandable.

It's just hard to grasp it all at once, I've always been into fashion but i literally just got into designing about a week ago due to a reaction from seeing a designers piece. I'll definitely do that though I'm glad someone has helped, thank you once again!

Funny picture by the way lol.
