We need to get more people from half/fa/ the same way we're getting people from other boards, by showing a quality over quantity mindset and culture and reminding people of where the better places are in threads like (https://boards.4chan.org/fa/thread/10614733/board-improvement)

there are a lot of people coming to half/fa/ every day for improvement and advice and are just starting out, and if half/fa/ is the only board they go to, it's going to create homogeneity galore

all the fuccbois, redditors and retarded teenagers will stay on half/fa/ since they already have a place they belong, and the people that want a better more diverse board can stay here.

essentially we just need to keep posting and reminding people where the better board is at. other places like dressedwell, sz, sufu, etc. our reputation as 4chan's 4chan will keep out the shitters for long enough until we build a core base, and the rest will come down to the moderation and janitor staff

There's too many threads. It should be eight pages, and eight threads per page. WAYWT, Cop or Not, W2C, etc… should be stickied. The bump limit should be like 120. /fa/ is filled with question threads that belong in their respective general thread. This should help keep things recent instead of having threads from last year.

Two new mods have joined the team this week. Hopefully they'll be able to bring a little bit more life to the board.

I'm happy for people to recruit from wherever they like. When it comes down to it, this is supposed to be your community, and just like I had the community create the rules, I'd like the community to build itself. Word of mouth is the best method of recruiting new members to the board because it's more likely that it'll bring quality. However, the issue of quantity still remains. If we don't have enough traffic, then those that do come to check our board out aren't going to stick around to participate in a dead community.

We're still partnered with /improve/ and /8lounge/, but it seems that most of the activity on 8chan is concentrated around /pol/, /v/, and /b/. We're just not getting that level of traffic that we need.

We have a great foundation here; we have a nice aesthetic, some quality members that have stayed with us since the beginning, and the people here seem to genuinely care about the board.

I'm willing to give mod accounts to anyone who is interested in helping develop the community. At this point I feel that I'm probably not in the best position to manage the board, but I'd hate to see ownership go to someone who doesn't care about the community at all, which is why I'd prefer to give out mod status to dedicated members of the community. If someone comes on board who really shows that they care about what happens to the community, then I'd be more than happy to eventually give them the board owner account once they've proven themselves.

I imagine only a small minority of the people who browse /fa/, 4 or 8, have great knowledge of fashion. I usually lurked back on 4/fa/ and, as slow as it is, I lurk here as well. I don't follow fashion week or drop a stack on Rick or anything like that, but I knew the very basics and I liked the contributions that came from these people. (And the shitposters, too; /fa/ has a very underrated shitposting culture.)

Ultimately you'll have to recruit en masse even if it's from places where nobody dresses well. Nobody likes posting on a dead board. I believe that the wheat will sort from the chaff if enough people start posting, and we can get quality contributions.
