Anyone else making their own cards? I'm getting restless waiting for the next pack. Will share mine if others post theres…
No.1719
I love Sasha Foxxx' videos.
As for the new Pack, I sent one out a few days ago but people have yet to share the Cards. ;)
P.S. Would you (or any people who share their own Cards) mind if I used them for inspiration for the 'official' Cards?
No.1720
No problem with me. I must have missed that last pack. Hopefully someone will post soon.

It seems no one is willing to share the cards. Maybe you could redistribute them or something? Missing a whole pack is a bit much.
No.1722
I realy don't get it that nobody wants to share the pack. I've been like almost hourly checking since I know they are out there.
Maybe indeed redistribute them.
(I would be happy to receive and share it on txtlog.text@gmail.com )
No.1724
I'll share a few more from my collection to try and spark some participation. The Sasha one is my fave but these are okay.

i was actually wondering if we could set up a denomination for Unofficial cards. Use a thread as a log for all unofficial cards and follow the correct numbering. For instance, Creators A cards are obvious A,F,H,C, etc with a number. An Unofficial card could be UA, UF, and so on. This shows quickly they are unofficial community cards and aren't a product of the creator. Cards made this way would need to be posted in the community pack page for them to be accepted into the number scheme.
If this something people are interested in, I could probably create a GIMP template for the text overlay. This way we have cards that like the others look appealing and are of the same format we all enjoy and have become accustom to. As a matter of fact ill start working on the template now and check back in a bit Ill upload it and provide a link if there are enough people interested in it.

So i finished it up, Its a little more involved than i expected and the amount of work that goes into it is actually pretty extensive for the initial setup. These blanks should be fairly close to the real thing but lets remember who started this and the effort he puts into this for all of us. This is a time consuming task to be perfectly honest.
So the Link to download all the blanks UA, UD, UF, UH, UC, and UJ. with the correct colors and more or less the same layout is right here.

Let me know if the Directions are hard to work with, i tried to make it as easy as possible.
I will start off the Unofficial cards with UA-001. and post it right here in this thread. Hope you'll enjoy it. Let me know if the Directions are hard to work with, i tried to make it as easy as possible.

also forgot to mention, these are designed for use with GIMP. So they are XCF files. all in a primary folder that's been rar'd

i've got 2 homebrew sets, if you're willing to organize a structured unofficial set leave me an adress and i'll send over the mockups.
to adjust your template you should make the bottom text box to accomodate 3 rows and use the bottom rows when you need just 1-2 rows.

Thanks for making the GIMP template for unofficial cards.
However since I got no experience in GIMP and because GIMP installed in my native language and not in english I can't get it to work even with the guide.
Maybe somebody with more experience in GIMP could make a quick tutorial video on how to use the template? that would help me and propably a few other people to start using it.

I didnt think of that….(im sure thats obvious lol) Thanks for the heads up that would sure make the Cards look cleaner. My delema is that i dont know if GIMP will play nicely with that idea. For instance i assume that what'll happen is when the text is filled in it will go off screen and not scroll up like desired. So the quick and dirty fix to that is to just move the text down as needed if it happens to be in the primary focus point in the picture. Much like how mine turned out.
I will continue to think about it and maybe ill find something that'll work. as for organizing a structured set, I would rather we as a community submit them as we finish them or are happy with our results. This way no single person is taking the place of the creator and perhaps it will liven up the threads a little.

Thanks for the tutorial!
I gave it a quick try to learn it.
I will probably make a few cards later when I have more time and inspiration

Would you mind remaking them using the UC-001 Format and without the spelling errors? That would be nice.
No.1773
>>1772
Fixed the spelling error.
I'll stick without the UC-001 format for right now. We generate a master list to avoid redundant numbering, then sure. As is, too easy to step on people's feet.

These are great. How are people sourcing their images? Is there a pixel minimum you recommend?

I tried to find it on my own, but to no avail. :(

What's the font? Or how do you get the outlines?
No.1781
>>1780
If you download the latest templates you also get a tutorial video where somone makes a card using the templates.
If you follow that then you get the outlines and fonts correct
No.1782

No, that font doesn't have any outlines like the original cards. The other guy with the SA-001 card uses the correct font though.
No.1783

The font is just Arial. The black outline is a photoshop layer property called a Stroke. Don't know what the corresponding GIMP effect is.

Thank you! Does anyone have a PS template for the cards perhaps? I've made some of my own but I can't seem to get the stroke and shadow and font size completely correct. I really want to make some good-looking cards.

Btw, here's a link to my attempts at templates. If anyone would be willing to tweak a few things to get them closer to the original, I'd be very happy.
