>cigarettes/cigars/pipes

I quit smoking on the 31st January 2018. I smoked for 16 years and I started when 12 years old. Had an surgery inmy mouthhole so I coulnd't smoke and now I am smoke free. Really feels good.

I puffed 1 or 2 cigarettes lately when I got drunk but only puffed not inhaled.

Cigars and pipes are okay I think, just don't overdo it (there's still the chance of mouth/tongue cancer) but it doesn't make you addcietd as cigarettes do.

Also, if you shop at the supermarket, check ALL the foods you buy to see if it has a label with a U or a K with a circle around it. If it has it, DO NOT buy it. This symbol means that the food is kosher, and that a rabbi inspected the preparation and packaging of the product. The cost of the inspection is passed on to the consumer (very small for an individual food package, but it adds up when you have millions of people buying millions of food products). Every package of food bought with this label indirectly funds the kikes.

i have a bit of a dilemma. I'm hoping I can get some advice here.

I started going to the local gym last week, and have gone every day. I have chosen to start with the Starting Strength routine, and since there is a day's break in between each routine day, I have decided to slot 'Leg Day' in there. Now, the last time I worked on my arms was Thursday. Friday was leg day, Saturday I was sick so i decided not to go (I didn't want it to get more serious and then miss school days), and Sunday I went on a trip with my family and friends.

Today was routine day again. However, I found that I wasn't able to lift what I could Thursday. The last day, I could bench 10kg on a barbell that by my estimates weighs about 5kg (I know, I'm weak, and that's why I started going in the first place), and could do 3 sets of about 10-15 reps. Today, however, I struggled doing 6. Also, after the workout I did, which was less than usual, I struggled lifting my arms above my head, they were weak from the little workout I had (I experienced this the first time I went, but after a day or two it went away, I guess my body got accustomed).

First thing that came into my head as for why that may be is the food I ate. On Thursday, as far as my memory serves me, I had a good portion chicken breast and potatoes about 45 minutes before workout, while today I had a plate of spaghetti roughly 2 hours before workout. Perhaps I should've eaten closer to the workout? Or perhaps is it because I missed a few days and so my body had to 'catch up' in a sense?

I don't know what the reason is, tbh, and that's why I'm turning to you guys. I know there's hundreds of different variables that could have decided my performance, but perhaps one of you guys also had similar experiences when starting off? Any advice and help would be greatly appreciated.

It's normal, your body isn't yet used to lifting and you are recuperating slowly for all this new stress to the muscle tissue. You also said you worked arms before bench and that actually always takes some lbs off your bench due to the fatigue on the triceps, you likely haven't recovered fully.

>First thing that came into my head as for why that may be is the food I ate. Your food doesn't digest that quickly anon, eating 45 minutes before a workout it's actually worse since it will just leave you bloated. Eat some nice carb sources 3 hours before you hit the gym,but in all honesty it's mostly about your overall diet that is going to make a difference on your energy levels and not what you eat immediately before training.

>I don't know what the reason is, tbh, and that's why I'm turning to you guys. I know there's hundreds of different variables that could have decided my performance, but perhaps one of you guys also had similar experiences when starting off? Any advice and help would be greatly appreciated.

Just let your body recover properly, rest and eat well. You will ever fine.

394745  No.9395

>>9362

Don't worry. I having the same experience. You just have to get enough rest and eat a larger meal. Soon enough, your body will become accustomed to your new routine and adapt accordingly. You have to keep going regularly though. I recently got a new job a couple months ago and could only get to the gym once per week. I'm back on schedule at 3-4 times, but my bench press has dropped from three plates to two and my deadlift from 5 plates to 455.

Remember that half of exercise is diet. You're eating stuff that is difficult to digest and more suitable for post-workout. The body has to turn glucose into pyruvate through a process called glycolysis. Glucose is a monosaccharide while spaghetti is made up of polysaccharides, which must be broken down first. If you don't have any of these saccharides in your body, your body will convert proteins and lipids into glucose through a process called gluconeogenesis, which is what you don't want to happen unless you're trying to lose weight. Monosaccharides are like paper, while polysaccharides are coal. Paper burns quickly, but only if you give it enough oxygen. Coal outputs the same amount of energy, but over a longer period of time. There really isn't an unhealthy food, just unhealthy habits. Don't be afraid to eat them, but you have to start working out pretty soon afterwards.

Also, consider creating a body-weight routine that you can do at home for those days that you can't or don't want to go to the gym. I do a set of 100 squats, 4 sets of 25 push-ups, two sets of 50 sit-ups, 4 sets of 15 split squats per leg, and as much bicep flexing as I can. I make sure to do those body weight squats every day even if I do go to the gym except on leg day where I do barbell/dumbell squats or bicep/back day where I deadlift. Having strong legs will lead to a strong upper body.

Can someone explain to me the concept of "Deliberate Practice" when it comes to studying something?

I can understand breaking down a physical activity to one specific portion of the activity, like getting better at baseball overall by training in a batting cage for hours on end increasing your batting average.

Or even mathematics. Breaking down studying math by coming up with and solving problems around what you're trying to get better at, like calculus.

But what about studying a memory-intensive discipline, like law?

How do you come up with a deliberate practice regiment for law? Or medicine? Areas that aren't as much about solving a problem through formula, or activity, but through rote memorisation of precedents?

>Been in the Marines for almost 5 years. Maintained good physical fitness and discipline, while ensuring my Marines are well taken care of and doing all their mandatory classes, as well as doing everything I can do shield them from bullshit. I've redpilled a few of my guys pretty heavy.

>Stopped with degenerate behavior and as a result I ended up meeting a girl I've been with for almost 6 months now and she's extremely redpilled. Showed her the light from being liberal and wanting to sell her eggs to understanding race realism better, the JQ, and wanting to be a mom for a large, healthy family.

>Moved from a city type environment to a more rural town so that I can live in a quieter, more ethnocentric, and wooded environment.

>Dropped friends that weren't beneficial for me or the well being of our cause/the world in general. Basic NPC type guys that are fun to hang out with but aren't going anywhere in life and will mooch off of me.

>Went to school for a trade and I'm doing my best to learn as much as I can to be invaluable to where I work, and to help put back into the economy.

>Moved out of my parents house at 22 and have been providing for myself since, while maintaining a close relationship still with my family and ensuring I go to my parents house at least once a week for dinner, and as a result my sister has also been going over there more and has gotten closer to my parents as well (she's 5 years older and moved out a while ago).

>Doing what I can to read more and eat healthier, as well as exercise more so that my body, and mind can be above average.

>Limit social media use to ensure I don't get caught in the easy scrolling and small satisfaction that it provides through likes and satisfying FOMO.

Things I want to try to do to continue bettering myself:

>Get back into making and playing music

>Limit alcohol consumption (I rarely get drunk, but I drink fairly often)

>Try to get more active with local groups that are for the same cause, while still being careful not to dox myself so I don't compromise career and military too early.

>Get a group of guys together to form a type of "militia" where we go to the northern woodlands of my state and train in things like small unit tactics, bushcraft, self reliance, shooting, and other recce/long term off grid type skills to build a sustainable and effective group in the case of national emergency.

Yes, you should. I quit by getting in the habit of preoccupying myself with other things whenever I wanted to light up. Replace one addiction which is harmful with another addiction which is beneficial - or at the least not harmful.

>Actual military experience

Shit man your leaps and bounds above other people on here - don't let that go to waste. If you don't have any skeletons in the closet you'd do good as a figurehead in any organization you join.
