Mark, if you would ever let those fools convince you that gamergate should be banned from /v/ then you would be a big fucking cuck and this /v/ would be abandoned by those who support free speech, and this is coming from someone who doesn't participate or care about gamergate. It's video game related and it should stay as much as it wants too.

I am making this thread because of the recent /v/ sticky, where a lot of idiotic people said "ban gamergate discussion from /v/", I'm actually surprised that so many would spout such bullshit.

Right now though, you are cool, you told them to eat shit and fuck off and you deserve your dick sucked this time because you did the right thing and protected free speech in video games.

Honestly, something strange is going with /v/, there is an increasing number of fags who want more and more rules and banning of this and that, someone is trying to make this place worse. I feel the state of /v/ as it is now is perfectly fine, game discussion and gaming related discussion with a bit of funposting, it's nice.

There is no need to discuss GamerGate on /v/ anymore. That was the most relevant place to discuss it back on 4chan. There are now multiple boards dedicated to it. What is there to be gained from GamerGate threads on /v/ rather than the actual GamerGate board?

Here's some important news for you, just because you personally think that gamergate, that is about video games or related to video games, think that it shouldn't be discussed, then it doesn't mean that everyone should cater to your shit opinion.

If I would think that your favourite genre or gaming website shouldn't be discussed you would also not like it for me to censor your discussion.

If you do not want to talk about gamergate, then don't fucking talk about it, additionally you can even hide posts about gamergate by yourself. There's no need to ban other people from discussing just because you feel like it. It's vidya related, like it or not.
