Well I haven't paid much attention to /v/ as I was having a fuckload of exams stacked up this month, but I did notice that /metav/ has been abandoned somehow. I still posted there regardless.
I'm the guy that made /vm/ - "Vidya Modding" although I haven't been as active as I should, but I noticed a bit of drama from the whole steam thing where they were trying to sell mods, I wanted to ride the happening train and lure pissed off people in sharing the mods on the board instead, or at least come together as a community and share/create mods they like for vidya
I think mark or whoevers in charge now should re-add /vm/ back, not even shilling, I could give that board away to someone willing to take over because all I want is a vidya mod board, I actually want to see potential in people making mods on 8chan and have a place to discuss them, I want that dream to live on.
so many things thats been abandoned due to normies not caring about those good old games, not making mods for them anymore and such but instead focus on recent/newer games, supposedly skyrim or some other shit along those lines. which i'm not against making mods for them but hey, its mods general anything can be discussed.
hell, i'd say if the board was still alive, it could potentially create things like oblivion/morrowind Online Multiplayer mod (something that works properly) would probably exist under a few circumstances, and that game is comfy as fuck especially when you play it with friends.
Big mod projects made on 8chan, everyone could get together to add new models/textures or sharing scripts of the sort for a game mod project.
The Potential is high here, but that would require some form of collaboration/help, preferably by people that want these things to exist, not the mods I just listed, i'm referring to anything that anon can create or share.
More mods that are deemed offensive could be shared on /vm/, things that gets immediately banned on nexus or some other shitty mod site because of feelings.
