f4cc15 No.1340

So multiple GamerGate threads are allowed on /v/ now?

d46713 No.1341

That's not a general though.
That thread is about relevant vidya news and vidya related

f4cc15 No.1342

>>1341
The example from the rules is
>If you want a dedicated thread [to] discuss a specific GamerGate related discussion (A celebrity talking about GamerGate, for example), please go there.

f4cc15 No.1343

There are two other threads now, also

>>>/v/3247203

>>>/v/3266392

d46713 No.1344

>>1342
Who cares, it's still vidya

f4cc15 No.1345

>>1344
It's not vidya. It's a community manager apologizing for an offensive tweet.

d46713 No.1346

>>1345
Vidya developers (and vidya dev studio employees) are vidya. Those tweets he was talking about are vidya too. GamerGate is vidya.
Stop enforcing your shitty /svidya/ rules on the fun /v/.

f4cc15 No.1347

>>1346
GamerGate is GamerGate. It belongs in the general or on its own board. The thread exactly matches what the board owner describes as a thread that belongs on /gamergatehq/. This isn't my rule, it's /v/'s rule.

3bea47 No.1348

>>1347
fuck off to reddit you faggot

7af870 No.1349

>>1346
Dragon dildos that I put in my ass (while playing vidya) are vidya then.

f4cc15 No.1352

>>1348
I'm trying to be civil here, the threads can be demonstrated to be in violation of the rules. What's the point of having rules if they aren't enforced?

f7b653 No.1353

>>1349
Dragon Dildos unpacking threads have always been allowed, actually
>>1352
There are always exceptions if the thread is about relevant and important news. Meta is not allowed on /v/ either, but that's not a reason not to have a sticky on shills

f4cc15 No.1354

>>1353

>There are always exceptions if the thread is about relevant and important news

A PR person being forced to apologize for comparing GamerGate to the KKK is not relevant and important news to people who care about video games, it's relevant and important news to people who care about GamerGate.

f7b653 No.1355

>>1354

A lot of people care about Witcher 3. CDPR's community manager is directly related to Witcher 3

f4cc15 No.1356

>>1355

>CDPR's community manager is directly related to Witcher 3

Unless he is directly, working on the game, the community manager is tangentially related.

f4cc15 No.1357

>>1355

>>1356

Uh also why is greentext suddenly not working here and on /v/

0d3f45 No.1358

>>1357

It's fixed now. It was a problem with the new update.

>>1356

I basically said this and I got eaten out and two faggots started shitposting and avatarfagging in the thread because I dared disagree with them.

>I got eaten out

Do you mean chewed out?

If it triggers you so much, hide it. Christ people it's not difficult to make the board what you want without constantly crying for more rulefagging.

use filters

>I got eaten out

f4cc15 No.1363

>>1361

GamerGate already thinks it owns the entire site and can post whatever and wherever with impunity, I'd prefer to see it reined in like anything else. I understand the owner and volunteers on /v/ see it as a sacred cow, but an entire board and a constant general should be more than enough without necessitating three or four additional threads just because something "important" happened.
