pic related is the apology I made in the meta Wednesday thread, but I'll post here too.

What happened was not intentional, but an accident caused by carelessness. We talked a bit in the mod chat and decided the lesson learned was to be more careful about who deleted by IP, and to only use that feature as a last resort.
