If the majority of the userbase agrees with the rules that have been put in place then there's no problem with what the mods are doing.
Censorship in and of itself is not so terrible that you should universally reject, you have to consider how it's used.
For example, there's always going to be some degree of censorship on all boards just to keep them on topic. /mu/ would be perfectly justified in deleting vidya threads and some things that they consider to hamper the purpose of the board, which is discussion about music.
Unless you can come up with legitimate reasons as to why these wordfilters are bad apart from a strict aversion to any "censorship", then you're not giving me or the rest of the userbase any compelling reasons to leave.
If censorship in any form bothers you so much, go discuss video games on /b/.
