This is what everyone is missing here: remove the lurkers. Sure, lurkers do occasionally post, but large in part they stay out of posting. So, remove them from the count in referring to the posters of the board. That being said, the numbers basically even out (26, 22, 7), at least the male/female ratio. This board is not 75% men and 25% women once you factor out the people that just lurk and don't post.

There are selection biases uncontrolled for in these stupid polls that exaggerate results.
Yes, the majority of posters on this board are probably male. You'd be stupid to expect otherwise given the likely prior distribution of gender on sites like 8chan.
That said, the proportion of female posters is probably much higher than the 18% given by the poll.
