0381f7 No.48466
Is this the appropriate place to air my envy for fashion designers? I want to design and sew fancy clothes for women (I'm a straight dude who wears work pants and steel toed shoes everywhere). Turns out you have to have rich parents to pay for all your shit while you apprentice in Paris, New York, or Milan of you ever want to make a living at it, mens or womens fashion.
864aac No.48471
>>48466You mean high fashion not regular fashion, right?
High fashion is indeed very difficult to get into. You have to have rich parents with all the right connections, or you have to work extremely hard and have a lot of luck.
Most fashion designers don't work for 'fancy' brands straight away, they start at the bottom, designing for cheap chinese workshops and no name brands.
Image related. Cheap chinese workshop no name brand.

Here's my talk on fat fashion. Because hey big girls wanna look good too.
This one has a nice top. Black is slimming and this one is loose and flows without having bulges. It flows over the hips and accentuates a nice hip to waist ratio.
The pants are really the wrong color. I'm sort of torn about tight pants on plus sized women, it depends what you think people will think about your legs. Bunches of fabric folds are not your friend here.
As for the shoes, I like em. I just think she needs to get more matching accessories to go with that color. She's got the wedding band and watch. Maybe if she had a nice gold necklace and wore black pants with white black purse it would look nice and balanced in color.
9b2345 No.50124
I love the matching and complimentary colors here. It works really well with her pale skin, dark mysterious eyes, and raven dark hair. Dark nail polish is also a wonderful touch.
A tight skirt like this gives that accentuation of a hip waist ratio and tempts them to think you're that cute, quirky, smart and curvy girl with a nice big bottom. Mmmhmm.
The chains on the necklace look dorky though and the bare legs are daring if you don't feel confident about how they look.
9b2345 No.50126
Look at her, that outfits says classy and here for business, but also you're fun and cool.
Looking well to do expresses that you have something good going for you as a person. So what if you're fat, girl you look rich.
The watch might be a bit too big and distracting. It looks like it would flop around on her wrist and forearm, not good.
The heels are crazy ballsy. Consider wedges that are lower so you're not in trouble. Oh dear.
I'm sure she tweezes those eyebrows but it's not so much that I know she does it for sure. The lipstick and nails work. Nice amount of blush on those cheeks.
Jeans work well for big women, but just remember unless they're stretchy you can put on more weight and not fit in jeans anymore. You don't want that happening to you honey.

The blue looks fine. It might make for a nice top or dress.
The black looks very fine. It looks a bit flashy so that's when you want everyone to see you.
Is that black with small white polka dots or brown with small white polka dots? Black is wonderful and brown would work for a rural look. Except these are the sort of small polka dots that would work for a retro chic nerd look and that's not the kind of thing I would mix with an unassuming natural and rural color.
The white with black floral floral could make a nice dress. For a skirt I think it would best go with a black top.

It normally looks good to mix brown with white for a sort of soft natural earthy tone of clothing. Maybe you could use the fabric for some sort of shawl, scarf or something draped over your outfit?

To improve on the design I posted though I would make that frill just a little more skirt like. The tail bone area looks somewhat bare. Also that frill needs to be comfortable when worn under clothes, otherwise friction and chaffing… not good.

If your ears are turning green because of 'gold' earrings, it's because those earrings are cheap shit made with a metal like brass or copper; not gold. (If you paid megabucks for the jewelry, you got jewed.)
Also, you still aren't having an allergic reaction. It's just copper (or similar) salts (which are blue/green) sticking to your skin like paint. An actual allergic reaction almost always involves swelling and soreness.
