Thus, between that and access to the internet where I can find a million pictures of a million different and beautiful women-I've come to the conclusion it's better to be attracted to someone who looks mediocre but has a brain than someone who looks attractive but is a bitch/has no brain.
It's not ignoring the instincts in recognizing women who are pretty, I can pick them out. It has more to do with accepting the reality that for someone like me, it's not as important because I'm not looking for arm candy but someone whom can engage with me intellectually.
Looks are skin deep, so while they help to keep and breed attraction between people, they shouldn't be a driving factor.
Recognizing this will allow you to see the illusion perpetuated by the media-that everyone deserves their soul mate and that soul mates are always beautiful individuals.
Instead, most people are average looking, but make the most of things between each other.
