Also, best things served with tea besides cucumber and cream cheese finger sandwiches.

I really like flavored teas with little dried fruits in them even though I know they're only in there to mask the poor quality of the leaves.

>>51251>bitterThat's actually what I absolutely love about dark chocolate. I prefer it over milk and white has always been really gross to me. 86% dark is the most I've tasted.
I like sweets here and there, but truthfully I am not big on them. I prefer spicy or bitter foods and especially black coffee.

>>51249Yeah, we don't have Teavanas where I live but we have what I imagine to be a similar store. Lots of stuff that's perfumed to smell like honey and chocolate, etc. "Real tea" is interesting to me but I don't know anything about it. The tea threads on /jp/ are exclusively about green tea, and even though I am a raging weeaboo the anglophile aesthetic is more interesting to me when it comes to tea, lol.

>>51260That sort of reminds me of how everyone swore up and down to me that green matcha was the best tea, hands down, and when I tried it it just tasted bland. Not even bitter, but just bland and boring. Chai is nice every now and again.

>>53412>>53413the theory is more supported to the fact that a lot of cows are fed hormones now to increase quality / supply of beef and quality / taste / quantity of milk- and that the hormones fed to cows leech into the milk that is harvested from them.
it's almost like BPA and xenoestrogens, and how it's been noted that a lot of us gals on birth control, when we pee, cause that hormone to not get filtered by sewage system- to as of which it's eventually dumped into lakes and rivers, where the hormone effects fish and other marine life.

Lately, I've been experimenting with cold brewing. Just put some bags of a cheap blend of pekoe cut and orange pekoe tea in a jar, fill it with water, and leave it in the fridge for at least 20 hours (though in reality, you only need about 12 hours to get a decent brew but I like to milk the bags for all they're worth). It's a smooth and refreshing treat!
Tried it last week with raspberries but the tea taste came out a litter weaker than usual. I'll make sure to use a bigger jar in the future when I use fruits.

>>51228Mostly Black Tea. Ceylon or Earl Grey are my favorites with Tea.
Jahe (Ginger) or Teh melati (Jasmine) are nice for tea as well.
Related to tea, I drink Yerba Mate on a daily basis (almost 2L of it a day). Generally I'll pair with Tea with a bit of chocolate (Unless the Tea is brewed extremely strong I'll pair with Dark Chocolate that's at least 70% Cocoa). Or sometimes if I feel in the mood to Cook (Which is fairly often) I'll make something either Indonesian or Indian go with it. (Generally I just make Satay Ayam).
Mate is paired with a very small amount of chocolate occasionally, but usually nothing.
