How does /fem/ see this? The most powerful woman in late modern history stating this?

cf2fb8 No.58693

>The most powerful woman in late modern history
lol

Royals had no official power and no responsibilities at the time. The epitome of welfare queens. I don't see why anyone would value her opinion on anything.

What about this man?

I already foresee the answer, but I want to read it anyways.

By the 1920s Tesla was off his rocker, though he started off with a good point here. Until he derailed into nonsense. You know that actually sums up his entire life.

I think he's largely wrong, but his thoughts on the matter deserve more serious consideration.

What was the foreseen answer, he was a virgin beta loser who cares what he thinks?

Royals in the past were nothing like today, they had almost absolute power over their king(queen)dom… You're being a silly sausage.

The British Monarchy hasn't had very much political power at all in hundreds of years.

In the distant past, sure. Queen Victoria didn't.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the last monarch with actual power Elizabeth I?

A combination of the two answers is what I expected-but I have to say that all genius have been incredibly eccentric.

All the same-why is he wrong in what he says? What do you believe he touches on deserves a more serious discussion?

James The First and His Son Charles I Both Styled Of The House Of Stuart were the last two, as (Trigger Warning to Irishmen) Cromwell took the rights of the crown away
and gave it to Parliament During The Glorious Revolution

The monarchy was reestablished after Cromwell died.

Just because you are a genius, doesn't mean you are right when it comes to everything. Telsa was a brilliant engineer, but pretty terrible at everything else in life. Also in the later part of his life Telsa was just flat out insane, not "eccentric".

Anyway, he is right that women focusing on competing with and trying to be men is not a good thing. We are not men, we should not try to be men. The traditional gender roles do play to the innate strengths of both males and females. However, that doesn't mean women have no place at all in the working world. It also doesn't mean we will turn into a society of She-Mantises who will snap off the heads of our mates as soon as we finish milking them for semen. There are jobs that women can be more effective at, there are jobs where men and women can both perform the same role about as effectively.

If we could just accept that and live our lives, there would be no issue. However it just can't be that simple can it? You have RadFems and extreme liberals who just can't accept that males and females have inherit differences, strengths, and weaknesses. You have extreme conservatives who can't accept women being anything but obedient, submissive housewives. Not that there is anything wrong with being one, just to be clear.

It was a gradual process, but in Britain she was one of the last. In other European monarchies the monarch held significant power right up until the end of WW2.

Yeah it's the extremist's that bug me. Men are better at some things and women are better at others. I am not against women trying to do work that men are typically better at but lying to yourself by saying "men and women are the same" is counterproductive.

Even then, that's only an English document, and it was anulled soon afterwards by the pope. The holy roman empire, for example, retained much more direct rule for a long time.
