I was listening to the radio the other day and it came out with a report that Ireland has the oldest age for women giving birth in the EU, at 30. We also happen to have the highest birth rate in Europe.

Isn't it kinda strange that this country has as many 25 year olds as 35 year olds giving birth for the first time, but still having the most kids? I think that's a problem.

"Sex positive" feminists will talk about how promiscuity "causes no harm" and "what do YOU care about how other people fuck?", as if the whole thing is harmless fun. I don't agree, I think it hurts the Nation (and almost all Western nations).

I'm quite left-wing and not very /pol/r9k/ but I do think that the hook-up culture of teens/20-somethings is gross and harmful to families. I think this whole "fuck buddy" culture results in the average young person having zero skills in what it is like to be in a relationship, yet after a few years they get the idea that they need to "settle down", but these relationships fail because they have no experience (look at the divorce rate, in a worst-case scenario, this will result in a child).

Exactly because of this "who cares?" sex culture, the age of being a parent is artificially extended. Like all skills, social skills are something that need to be worked on, and requires regular effort to become adequate at. Relationships are no different, someone who spent their entire youth fucking random strangers will have a difficult time adjusting to life in a relationship, and co-habitating with a significant other will just cause most frustrations.

What do you think, /fem/? Does a former clubslut have the potential to be a good parent? Is the past TRULY the past?

Who you are now is the result and testament of all you've done and witnessed up to this very moment. And no, change won't happen by the snap of a finger and blurring the past, because the time you've spent on one thing is time not spent on another. I had to learn this the hard way, but at least I managed to realize and start working on the problem…

You know, the whole situation reminds me of the Vietnam scene from the Watchmen movie [SPOILER]:

Dr. Manhattan: She was pregnant… and you gunned her down.

The Comedian: That's right. And you know what, you watched me! You could've turned the gun into steam, the bullets into mercury, the bottle into goddamned snowflakes but you didn't, did you? You really don't give a damn about human beings – you're drifting outta touch, Doc… God help us all.

As someone who was raised by a total party girl >(I found out later)

Absolutely not.

We lie to ourselves and say the past is the past, but we can never resist the temptation to go back to a lifestyle that we've enjoyed.

My mother didn't go out and party after I was born, she stayed home, but she drank.

She drank and drank all throughout my childhood, eventually getting so drunk that she would yell at me for even the slightest thing.

I found out later in my early 20s that back in the 80s her and my dad were total party animals, doing coke and other things from what I heard.

My dad adjusted pretty well to not partying, but my mother never did.

>TL:DR don't settle down just because you feel like you should, settle down if you actually fucking mean it.

To this day I can't deal with a drunk girl. I've broken up with women on the spot when they've acted like that.

> Is the past TRULY the past?

It never is. I'm not going to bother citing the statistics about how promiscuity correlates with all sorts of negative shit. We can pretend that it doesn't, but a promiscuous woman is always going to be a partnership risk. It just seems to be hardwired.

Also first time over here from r9k. Gotta say that once a day captcha is pretty dank .

No, a former clubslut does not have the potential to become a good parent (relative to other women). Women who participate in pickup culture get the men and relationships they deserve, any self-respecting man who is actually open to a traditional relationship will shut these women out.

Only a true Beta would settle for a clubslut. Most people would do best to find a mate of similar quality and preferred sexual strategy.
