And as far as moderating gender goes, it will be as effective as making sure 13 year olds dont post on /b/, and youre right its not effective, but the principle is still there and thats all that really matters.

Why do people keep insisting that it's a hugbox? The board exists because there is little to no moderation in /fem/. Even reporting things isn't doing shit, because the mods aren't active.

Also on a site that is male dominated I don't think a no man rule is going to go over very well… Back in the early days of /fem/ they contemplated it but decided no because they didn't want to draw in tons of raids, spam, flooding, accusations of being sjw, etc. they got those anyway but it would have been worse if no men were allowed
That being said this is 8chan and you can do whatever the fuck you want. I look forward to seeing where this goes.

1. You ban all men, never become popular, and everything is fine but slow as shit.

2. You ban all men and the board takes off. It ends up in the front of /pol/ and they accuse you of being sjw femanazis and flood your board with shit. This spreads to other boards (/b/) and soon /fem2/ is total shit. This ALMOST happened to /fem/ but in the end /pol/ realized we are cool and /b/ got bored.

3. You allow men like /fem/ and then what the fuck is the point of /fem2/

In any case you need tags (if it's a bug oh well lol) and you should get an irc. Either way you can't do shit about being /fem2/ which again by it's name alone will draw people to /fem/. Chances are anyone in /fem/ now is fine with it and those that are not are here (see how slow it is?) but if you do get popular /fem/ will always be more so by the nature of your name UNLESS swami seriously fucks up bad.

If you do go with a men allowed but no x y z rule I propose you allow men and saying you are a man but only if it is relevant to the discussion. For example, if it's a thread about something like what tampon is the best brand I could say "I'm a guy but my wife really likes x brand" but I can't say "I'm a guy and I don't need tampons so suck it." The main problem with this is then people will argue over semantics and look for every opportunity to use it against you (going to /pol/ and doing anti /fem2/ threads using you banning one person and not another as evidence for example.)

As for why I care, like I said I don't really care either way I am just giving you some potential outcomes. It's not my board and either way there is enough demand for a female centered board. I do think a female centered board should exist and the popularity of /fem/ proves there is a demand for it.
