The S2 trailer drops tomorrow and will show the final two returning characters. People keep thinking Cinder and Riptor but it's probably going to be a ruse since they practically confirmed Season 3 in the "Textual streams" they are doing and they will need a KI 1 character to sell the 3rd season with. It's probably going to be Cinder and Kim-Wu. Tusk and Riptor for the 3rd Season.
Also they may be making Shadow Jago into a full blown character this season instead of a bullshit SNK boss.

It was happening months ago as apparently S2 sold really well (And they would have to make plans well in advance like contracting Iron Galaxy for the next season). Hitting the pot bonus within about three days of the Shadow Jago announcement is just icing on the cake for them.
Though the big question will be if they go for a PC version or not. Could rejuvenate the game a bit.
