 No.1311

everything went better than expected

 No.1312

What was different about it?

 No.1314

> Gia Coppola
> Emma Roberts
> Jack Kilmer

That's a lot of nepotism! Without doing a websearch, where does Gia fit into the Coppola family tree?

Personally I wish Roman made some more movies of his own. CQ was fun.

what's the film about ?

 No.1517

>>1513
it's about the intersecting lives of some high schoolers.

the main characters are a girl (april) and a boy (teddy) who have feelings for one another but haven't opened up about their mutual affections.

both april and teddy have a friend in their own life that complicates things for them: april has her fatherly soccer coach who she has a close relationship with, teddy has a self-destructive best friend.

Does it resemble a Sofia movie at all?

The poster makes it seem like the main character is a mopey girl.

I've not seen many Sofia films, only Lost in Translation, but that kind of emotional driven storytelling is present here. It feels as if the film is about how chance can affect circumstances. The most interesting part of the film is how the first and last acts reflect themselves, starting in almost the same place but with a few key actions being different. I wouldn't say this is mind blowing cinema but it might be worth a watch if you like coming-of-age stories.
