hey /film/ recommend some horror movies for me tonight. seen most of the obvious good ones looking for wierd/strange horror

 No.1626

I'll assume you want actual quality, not b-movies. Here are some solid flicks.

The Brood
Cat People (The 1942 one. Really subdued, but it's a strange and great concept.)
Timecrimes. (More of a thriller, but great.)
The Crazies. (Original.)
Mikadroid: Robokill Beneath Disco Club Layla

I just realized I watch a lot of horror movies, but they're all shit. Oh well. Check this out, bruh.

Not sure if this fits in to your category of strange horror movies, but recently saw Onibaba, thought it was excellent!

Kuroneko (also directed by Kaneto Shindô) is great too. Big fan of Jap ghost stories.

Here are a couple horror recommendations with Spanish connections, Anguish and A Bell from Hell. Both were better than I expected.

Have you seen Island of Lost Souls?

One of my favorites of the 1930s Hollywood horrors. It was pretty hard to find until Criterion released it recently.

Nosferatu
Nekromantik
Killer klowns from outer space
Spoorloos
Les diaboliques
Hellraiser
