You don't belong here.

 No.3845

be nice, you weren't born having seen the work that you have now seen. have to start somewhere.

 No.3861

So why not start him off at /tv/?

 No.3864

>>3861
Because he's better off watching /film/'s recommendations than wade through the shit they'll recommend him. I also think /film/ should rise above the rest of the boards in terms of communication.

I enjoy watching movies. Yes my knowledge is very poor compared to other people but even so, who are you to say where i belong?

I've seen run lola run. Brilliant film. I'll check out the others

Suggestion threads are usually open ended. I think we should try to spin them into a positive if possible, unless we get an avalanche of such threads.

Of course /film/ has better taste but the general taste here is a bit overwhelming even for someone who's been on /tv/ for quite a while. How is he to know what's good when he's never experienced shit? You get a whole new appreciation and understanding of what makes a good and bad film.

>>3866
I may have said it in a dick fashion but I still think you should start somewhere easier than here for the above reasons.

 No.3891

>>3870
no hard feelings. i´m new to this board so i guess i should lurk moar.

 No.3897

we might need to work on an info post or thread for helping new people

for now, you can check this thread for more suggestions of things to watch. we tried to put together a viewing list for people who are just starting out. >>2754

 No.3898

sounds good

 No.3911

>>3870
Alright you have a point. I just don't like the elitist approach. I understand tho, the movies he listed aren't that compatible with /film/'s taste.

>>3897
Word. Someone make that thread.

i'm confused why you'd bump this?
