Greetings, glad this kind of board exists, been aching for one since 2008I was wondering __what are your sources/ways to find or dl movies?__ While looking up for flicks, especially foreign, i end up with not finding them, a bunch of Megaupload links

I was wondering what are your sources/ways to find or dl movies?

While looking up for flicks, especially foreign, i end up with not finding them, a bunch of Megaupload links or just downloading a 6 year old torrent with no activity at all for 3 months

There's some pesky ones that maybe only an old shop or PassThePopcorn might have

Google the title, a lot of times the smaller studios from back in the day have dissolved and it goes unnoticed that one of their films has been uploaded.

Amazon also has almost everything ever made on dvd.

For streaming, I'd say just get hulu. They have the Criterion Collection and South Park.

I guess there's a request thread somewhere around here. As for sources it's best to have a variety of them to maximize your hunt.

It depends on what you want of course. Aside from the many streaming services and DVD labels there are torrent sites focused on anime, Czech, Russian films, soundtracks, horror, 80s cartoons, etc. PTP probably gets most of its rarities from other sites.

I constantly search using the original language, but sometimes it's really tough to navigate in between all the mess and mysterious links with .exes

But nothing tougher than signing up for PTP, nigh impossible

it's actually pretty easy, get a what.cd account (which is awesome anyways) by taking the interview, then become power user (upload 25gb and 5 torrents or something). this will give you access to the invites forum which will get you into pretty much any tracker, definitely PTP

you might have better luck with private sites like karagarga (although invites are closed atm) or surrealmoviez. some others are cinemageddon, gorgomon, secret cinema, i love classics, tehconnection. there are probably more but that's just what i remember right now.
