As you can clearly see the old /co/ threads were more shitposting rather than content. The general love for it and how they expressed it was very sarcastic and mocking, very shallow and parodic.
So I'll be allowing other cartoon shows on this board, that includes G1, G3, newborn cuties and even other ironic fanbases in very special cases.

I call it a mix of ironic-unironic love.
It's called ironic for using the words brony, and love and tolerance in a cheeky parodic way. Everyone knows the show is shitty and average, so they don't bother with genuine introspection. All the scrutiny they did was in a funny way like the math-physics essays on how Rainbow Dash breaks the sound barrier and how tall is a pony compared to the real world.
It's called unironic for genuinely loving it and showing your passion, jokes, admiration around the show and having a good time. This created the good feels atmosphere.
We can probably be much funnier nowadays, now that we have comedy writefags writing proper jokes rather than memes. Though making a thread about captcha-ing image macros is allowed, just not encouraged, especially not reply posting with them like a /b/tard.

I recently watched Tanks for the Memories where Rainbow Dash is making a big cry-fuss because her pet turtle Tank needs to hibernate for the winter, so they will be apart a few MONTHS (Dashy shouts this in outrage)
I though just how serious is this? RD is strong! It's great she loves her pet but I don't remember her being like this.

MLP should up the seriousness and deal with death metaphors like Care Bears did.

ep 99 "The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone" is s5e8
In the Treehouse airing, multiple things are taken out. The closed captions represent this with (silenced) since the characters are still visibly talking on screen.
*Gilda calling Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash "losers" (after "we don't have a king")
*happens again with "dweebs" (after "what's your excuse")
*and again when Pinkie says "Hey! These 'dweebs' are here to help Griffonstone!"
*Rainbow Dash's exclaiming "Doofus!" at Gilda the griffon (after "what took you so long?")
Never noticed this on treehouse before, which is where I PVR the show to watch it in Canada.
Does anyone know any other examples of censorship occurring like this?
