ITT: Weird shit we do that works

>Thinking of porn while lifting gets my hip drive more explosive

 No.84240

i eat my oats at least 1 hr before working out

 No.84241

>Pausing at the bottom of the zercher squat splitting the pressure between my legs and arms to catch a breath and do the rep after a few seconds

>Cross my legs below the bench to do a little leg drive and keep my setup stable

>Pause the bar in the starter position of the overhead press for a few seconds to breath and tight my core after every rep

 No.84243

>Imagining that I'm popping a blood vessel helps me shit better.

 No.84250

Focusing all of my depressing and emotional thoughts into strength when I'm about to set PRs.

It's not good, but it works.

I broke my pinky finger after punching a door in rage and on a different occasion had a nervous breakdown after failing previous PRs

 No.84275

>deallifting my pants up

>sumo squatting from chairs

>benching my pillow to the ceiling

>cleaning and pressing my little cousins to my shoulders (I can press a 45kg little boy now)

Don't know if it's really helping me out with my form (I think about those movements when I'm performing the real lifts), but that's still really funny.

Working out is not the time for nervous breakdowns, Latvia. That comes later.

Other than that, I do the same thing. Plus when I'm about to deadlift a PR, I sit in front of the loaded barbell for a minute and contemplate those emotions. It's almost like meditation.

>cheating on barbell rows

 No.84323

>Wiggling my knees back and forth before squats

>waddling towards the bar before deadlifts

>basically doing weird shit before lifts though I hear that's pretty normal for most lifters

>I also like to pretend I'm powering up before a deadlift by closing my eyes and clasping my hands together for a while

 No.84586

NO, jochen

 No.84595

i know a lot of people channel rage for lifts

but i can't get mad about actual shitty things in my life, i focus on the shittiness of life. like, existing. i don't listen to any music, i just focus on this existential feeling of anger.

i'm not even some depressive asshole normally, just during heavy lifts.

 No.84597

>>84595

I do this. I leave all my belongings in a locker. When I lift, all I do is lift. There's music because the gym plays a classic metal station in the free weight room, but if it were up to me there wouldn't be any.

I think about my shitty life, and how I'm going to improve it. Then, I lift, and the lifting makes everything better.

Squat away the pain.

 No.84600

>>84586

I never felt a thing in my lats until I started cheating on the lift. Cheat rows are best rows.

 No.84603

Think about how I grew up with pretty boys that even to this day get laid all the time while I rarely get any.

 No.85109

i think about how much i hate muslims, smash pr's every time

 No.85112

>>85109

does australia has to deal with muslims? we don't have a problem with them here

 No.85116

>>84597

>I leave all my belongings in a locker.

I prefer wearing clothes in the gym, but whatever floats your boat.

 No.85117

>>85112

yes. australia has a large muslim problem

we lock a lot of them away in a tropical rape cage to deter them coming here but the fuckers just keep coming

 No.85156

>>85116

Thanks for the laugh, bro, but you know what I meant.

 No.85158

I read The Revolution by Ron Paul when I got to the gym. Being reminded how my government sucks gives me the motivation to lift harder.

 No.85160

>>84323

I do literally all of this what the fuck.

We are one in spirit, you and I. Where you at?
