So basically I have arthritis in my right knee, body dysmorphic disorder, and am super scared of the latter being aggravated into an activity disorder/eating disorder. I've been thinking about getting some exercise stuff going nothing huge, just enough so my body can pulling shit like torturing me (so to speak). Any advice and things to look out for to make sure I don't develop and activity/eating disorder?

OP, I don't know very much about body dysmorphia, so could you detail a little more about your problem? I sincerely don't know if /fit/ has any info beyond getting buff or athletic but we can try. As for your arthritis, if you want some exercise I suggest doing the usual barbell training adapted to your problem or light intensity cardio running is out of question I guess

OP here, basically my dysmorphia problem in this case is the fact I feel overweight and unattractive. I am able to repress it most of the time, but every once in a while it does bubble up. This has gotten to the point where I'm paranoid that if I do try to get some activity, my feelings of being fat and unappealing might be aggravated to the point I'll end up over working my body with exercise or barfing into a toilet to get thinner faster. For ref my irl weight is 192 lbs.

I don't know if it can help, but I suggest doing cardio as your main activity, swimming is great to burn calories and exercise the entire body in a controlled environment , if you care about being muscular, barbell training will help greatly, take some photos from week to week and get a track of your progress visually, I think it can help if you already have some control over your problem.

I have no advice OP but the issue of dysmorphic disorder does intrest me.

I have no idea how I look, when I see a mirror it`s always a surprise. Does`t fit me at all.

And I always felt that mij hips where at the high of my knees, now that I`m standing more and squatting again I`m suddenly aware that my hips are higher and my legs are quite long.

Strange shit. I`ll be monitoring this thread.
