If you seriously want to burn fat don't be a stupid and count your calories, then remove 500kcal from your normal diet, that's all, if you want to preserve some muscle and burn some fat you're doing horrible wrong, you will most likely get in a horrible state in the end of this diet. But I'm acting like a stupid myself, sorry, why are you on a diet like that?
Most likely it will use the carbs to get energy first, but if you're starving yourself it will consume the protein and your lean mass in the end of the day
