Chaos & Pain has a shitload of them. Some highlights:
>Bert Assirati
I mention him every time, but bear with me. He deadlifted 800 lbs and did an iron cross at a BW of 220 lbs. His wrestling career was mediocre because everyone was too afraid to fight him, as he had the tendency to inflict incredible pain on his opponents.
>Paul Anderson
His training methods included walking on his hands with weights on his back and his feet on a cart, or triceps extensions while hanging upside down from a rack.
>Jack LaLanne
Not a lifter, but he did beat Schwarzenegger in a chin-up and push-up contest. Ahnold was 21 at the time, Jack was 51. He also tugged ships through the sea around Alcatraz to celebrate birthdays, and on the day he died, at 97, he still did his workout.
>Kirk Karwoski
Motherfucker squatted 1000 lbs for a double. And every Monday, he would squat at 5:30. Every. Monday. When the squat rack was still in use, he'd give you five minutes to finish. Then he'd throw your shit on the ground, unrack your weights and yell at you.
>Ed Zercher
Did barbell leg press with insane weights, with no safeties whatsoever.
>Schwarzenegger
As far as I know, he didn't go to his fathers funeral because that was on a gym day.
>Vasily Alexeev
He would drag barbells into the river to lift them, well, in the river. Among other things. Seriously, look him up, the guy is a wacky goofball if there ever was one, and inspiring as fuck.
>Hermann Goerner
His record in the one-handed deadlift is STILL unbroken, after almost a century. He also wrestled baby elephants, which is kind of eccentric.
>Ken Patera
Had a front squat of 650 lbs. McDonalds once refused to serve him. The result was a bunch of broken cops and a two-years prison sentence.
>The Barbarian Brothers
Kicked each other in the face and threw plates like frisbees, for shits and giggles. Also did 315 for 27 reps on the bench press, with a reverse grip.
That's just a selection. Even the non-wacky powerlifters, strongmen and so on often compete or train through broken bones and torn ligaments.
