Post your favourite carbs.

Paleocucks, ketocucks and other low-carb fad need not apply, have some rice, anon.

 No.86959

Wild rice. Oats with wheatbran is the King, though. I do like potatoes but I know they are evil, and I have much love for Le humble carrot. By volume, though, it's pasta: tortellini, ravioli etc

>I do like potatoes but I know they are evil

What? Are you serious? What is wrong with potatoes? The GI myth is bollocks, you know.

Tortellini and ravioli are god tier

Lasagna, motherfucker.

To be honest, it's pretty much an all-rounder too because it's got fat and protein too.

Yea I wanted this thread to be more about whole foods than one specific recipe.

Lasagna is awesome but is macro suicide.

>Lasagna is awesome but is macro suicide.

why?

Also, is it true that pasta that has a day in the fridge is better than fresh pasta? health wise

 No.86994

>>86976

It's a combo of high fat/carbs.

 No.86996

Long grain, white rice. I like brown, but it is higher in calories, thus, I cannot eat more.

Frijoles y lentejas. Except for oats it's the only carbs I eat.

Brown has better nutrition

 No.86999

Also trips

Yes. It forms retrograde resistant starch. Rice does the same thing. Potatoes do it really well.

Brown rice has a lower glycemic index (GI) than white rice, meaning you burn the sugars in it slower and thus have a longer and more consistent source of energy.

I've had hypoglycemia for as long as I can remember, used to pass out as a kid. My parents were clueless about nutrition, I got into fitness and I've sense learned that if I eat low GI foods I actually have consistent energy throughout the day.

My favorite carbs are basically sugar + corn syrup + alchohol. That's why I try to stay away from them. I hate you skinnyfags so much.

>tfw can't have carbs when I am cutting, not even brown rice

>tfw tried the whole "just don't eat over your caloric intake" thing and it just doesn't really work for me since I just get too hungry all the time.

Sorry anons, low carb is really the only thing that works in my experience.

 No.87033

Legumes and quinoa.

Why quinoa you ask? I like it because it is an easy to get whole food source of ecdysterones.

All carbs are my favorite carbs, but to be specific, any kind of fruit.

I have had 70-20-10 macros for the past year and it's been going great.

> lentejas

Mi negro

>>86996

C'mon brah, it's rice. You don't see many fat chinks do u?

>>87026

Sounds like you eat carbs with fat, and that makes you think it's the carbs which makes you fat. Our bodies have a tough time turining sugar to fat, but fat gets turned to fat pretty easy for obvious reasons (it's already fat)

Doing low carb deprives your body of nutrients and it will only further fuck up your fatty metabolism.

>>87033

Quinoa is awesome but tastes like fucking shit.

>>86976

>>Lasagna is awesome but is macro suicide.

>why?

Too much fat and pretty much all of it saturated or from animal sources.

 No.87125

>>86994

>>87069

Depends on how you cook it, sure it will generally have a lot of fat but you can make it fit your macros.

>>86996

That's the stuff, makes me fart, but whatever
