20 year old female

Currently 175 lbs looking to get down to 135 lbs

I understand macros and that shit, but I have no idea what kind of food to eat. There's a bunch of info here for bulking, but I'm looking to cut. Also, I'm looking to spend roughly $60 CAD on food a week.

What do you guys thing about juicing? I lost 5 pounds by just juicing vegetables and kept it off for a few months.

YES, I've read the sticky, but all I got from it was how to bulk. It seems like it's mostly geared towards men.

Losing weight requires changing your lifestyle. Unless you plan on yo yoing by juicing every year for the rest of your life, you should find a more stable option.

Hello OP, you asked it nicely, so I will be nice too.

>Tone

It doesn't exist, you get more muscular, thus more sexy and firm, that's "tone" in your view, but we call it noob gains, your first muscular gains will be quick and the do appear after a couple of months I got decently muscular an strong in three months, so I suggest learning how to lift too, it helps a lot with shedding extra fat along with cardio.

>Bulking

First, bulking means extra calories in your TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) and it facilitates the process of building muscle, cutting is less calories in your TDEE, so you shed fat (your stored energy) and if you cut too much calories from your TDEE it will burn muscle because it thinks you're starving, resume: eat a little less and do 25~40 minutes of cardio I highly suggest per day

>What do you guys thing about juicing?

Fruit Juice usually is good along with a meal, but it's digested too fast and usually get a lot of calories from sugar and the fruit itself, or portions, I suggest aiming for a protein based diet it will fill you up quickly and helps build muscle, which makes you capable of eating more and not gaining weight depending on your level of fitness/muscle mass and cut out the pasta or simple carbs like bread and the list goes.

>I understand macros and that shit, but I have no idea what kind of food to eat

>Chicken breast

>Broccoli

>Brown rice

>Beans

>More veggies

Chicken is your friend, eggs too, they're very good for you in protein intake and they're little caloric.

You angel. Thank you so much. This actually helps a lot. I know you said it took you 3 months to get muscular, but how long did it take you to see any results at all?

Do it right and you could lose 2-5 pounds per week. You should see my drivers license and ID to see what a difference 20lbs makes.

I'm still fat, I wanted to speed up the process so I kept my normal weight, I sincerely got less fat because of it, so if you apply yourself to your diet in a month or more you could like lose 4~6kg, just get in track with your diet.

> mainly for bulking

> and for men

I haven't read the sticky for a while now but I'm a female and it didn't really seem lacking in information for me.

The information on there is simple. If you want to cut, eat at a deficit and workout. If you think that doesn't work, you are under counting your calories. If you hate calorie counting, try keto or paleo or intermittent fasting. Still I tried many things and finally counting them calories and keeping a food journal was what helped me the most. I'm probably going to try counting macros soon.

> juicing

No, that's a weight loss gimmick bullshit that fits along side with "lose 20 lbs in two weeks". There's no muscle system to weight loss, and there's no fast track there. Sometimes one thing will help you lose weight but then after that's over, the weight comes back. I've seen it happen to myself and people around me tons of times. Those quick solutions are garbage.

This guy has it right.

>Losing weight requires changing your lifestyle. Unless you plan on yo yoing by juicing every year for the rest of your life, you should find a more stable option.

Always do what you can keep up with forever.

I recommend you take measurements and record at least monthly. Weight is one thing, but body composition is another. If you have a way to measure your body fat, I recommend you do that. It'll give you a much more reasonable idea of how much fat you should lose.

Shit I meant

>I understand macros but have no idea what kind of food to eat

Then you don't understand macros. If you want to lose weight, you need to expend more energy than you put in. It's that simple. There's a bunch of ways you can go about this, and there's other more specific things a diet can help and whatnot, but if your goal is to lose weight, that's what it comes down to.

If you're looking to cut, eat less. Check your weight and if you're not losing weight, you're eating too much. Adjust accordingly. One thing that can help if you want to be a little autistic about it is tracking calories. Download the Myfitnesspal app and track your daily intake with it. Everything you put in your mouth, you track. Only exception is pure water.

As for diet for cutting, it's up to what works for you in getting yourself to eat less. Personally, I like a high protein diet and find it keeps me sated for long enough and lets me eat less. Just lots of meat and dairy. Since you're a girl looking to cut, be a little careful with drinking tons of milk. Milk is great for building muscle, but the calories pile on quickly if you drink a lot of it.

Fuck juicing. The only juicing you should be doing to lose weight is the kind you inject in your body, and that's a whole different can of worms. Just don't worry too much about whatever the trendy diet of the month is and just eat less. It's the only thing that works over time.
