I've been drinking a shit ton of tea since I changed my diet a few days ago. I put 1 tbsp of Splenda in with my orange pekoe tea, and I'll usually have about 5 cups a day. Is this a bad thing? I'm cutting and counting macros, and don't want it to fuck up anything.

 No.87751

I've been using splenda for a few months now. Hasn't affected my diet negatively.

Better than sugars that actually have calories. At 1 tbsp a day, you're fine. In fact, I haven't seen much compelling evidence that artificial sweeteners are bad, compared to how bad added sugar can be.

So long as the tea is not preventing you from getting the sleep you need, you're fine. I can sleep just fine with cup of green tea at night, as making a warm cup of tea is relaxing, and it contains l-theanine.

I started using splenda to get off sugar, got diarrhea for weeks, no clue why. It was the splenda. Cut that shit out, had some greek yogurt and I've been fine since. Used stevia with no issues too.

Sweet stuff is in general good to limit though, makes you crave more food.

>adding fucking splenda to your tea like a woman

Stop being a bitch and drink it straight. Tea isn't coffee, it actually tastes good so you don't need to add shit just to get your caffeine fix.

If you can't even handle straight tea, then you're not going to make it.

Don't worry, you're going to make it, bro.

 No.89044

>>87745

Not much to worry about. I'd cut the splenda, though. I'd also get some better tea than orange pekoe.

 No.89098

>>89042 Got it right.

Adding milk and sugar just makes the drink a warm sugary soup. If you want to actually wake up, drink it straight.

Don't waste your time on 'green tea', order high quality sencha or don't but anything. Any 'green tea' you buy here will be normal tea that hasn't been fully processed rather than actual green tea thats been rolled and steamed to keep the flavor in. There is nothing to compare good green tea too, its like drinking a lazy summer day.

Implying coffee tastes bad, as a tea and coffee drinker you're full of shit, good tea tastes good, good coffee tastes good, if you don't put effort into seeking it out, then you'll never find it.

Furthermore, if you really can't go without that some sweetness in your tea, just fucking buy some honey. It's good for weight loss and loads of other shit too.

It's the best thing you can replace sugar with.

I found out recently that amazon sells chinese matcha powder (concentrated powdered green tea) at 30 bucks for 188 servings. One serving has the nutritional benefits and anti-oxidants of 10 cups of green tea and I've been chugging that shit lately, makes me feel alive

Be careful when drinking large amounts of tea. Tea has some fluoride in it, and if you start going apeshit with it you can get fluorosis. Luckily for you, green tea has one of the lowest fluoride contents of all the types of true tea. You probably don't have to worry about it. White tea has the least. Pu-erh has the most. In the parts of China where people basically drink pu-erh instead of water, fluorosis is not uncommon.

But the important information you need is on the right in the editors notes for free anyway.

No degree is required to be a professor. You just have to know the subject. A degree helps to show that, but its not a requirement to become a professor.

You seem to be implying that Japan has a monopoly on quality green tea. Sencha is delightful for sure, but some people actually prefer their green tea pan fried the Chinese way. Makes the flavor more 'nutty'.

But I agree with the general sentiment of your post. You definitely won't find any good tea in a supermarket. You usually won't find any even in most shops that specialize in tea. You have to find a seller that personally goes to tea farms to source their tea.

>professor

1:one that professes, avows, or declares

2a : a faculty member of the highest academic rank at an institution of higher education

b : a teacher at a university, college, or sometimes secondary school

c : one that teaches or professes special knowledge of an art, sport, or occupation requiring skill

I thought he was talking about 2b (synonymous with lecturer), which in my experience is used far more often than in the faculty rank designation

>Does this even happen in real life?

It is extremely rare. I knew an example of a guy with no degree that became a high ranking professor, but I forgot his name. I was discussing this topic with a friend at the time and he brought it up.

>>90432

None of those require a degree.
