Thoughts on this pls… I have low energy and came across this while looking for stimulants. I'm thinking about getting either this or DMAAthe stuff in the old jack3d formulapowder. The thing with this is that it lasts about 6 hours and seems to be a brain booster as well as an energy booster. I've seen people compare it to adderall which seems like total BS but still seems interesting. DMAA on the other hand has been banned so you know that shits got to be pretty good. But lasts only around 3 hours and seems to be more like an adrenaline feeling while the other is supposedly more like an amphetamine.

Nigga, first you need to make sure that you're living a healthy lifestyle, before going with any kind of supplement, if you're feeling tired there's a reason for that, find that reason and fix the problem, instead of going for easy fixes that might makes things worse in the long run.

If you lift every single day without rests you aren't allowing your body to recover. 3 days a week is too little for me and back to back days got exhausting real fast so I do alternate Back/Legs/Tri's and Chest/Shoulder/Bi's every second day now, been working perfectly for me.

You need microbial colonies in your guts to live. The ida behind bro biotics and fecal transplants is that you want to either revitalize the colonies that aid in basic functions or replace them. And yes a fecal transplant is a real thing, and i think i remember a study that indicated people who got fecal transplants from fat people inexplicably gained a lot of weight they otherwise would have metabolised out. Someone tried to use this as a "fat is genetics stop fat shaming me :^DD" but thats 100% weapons grade bolognanium
And actually studying the microbial colonies in invasive species might turn out to be a very important aspect of mature conservation because you might be able to figure out how to kill off the populations via poop despair.
Now whenever you think of microbial biology you should think about weaponizing the poop of whatever you want dead.

The point of working out is to fatigue the body, it doesn't matter whith what excercise, i mean squats and deadlifts are different but there's some overlap, you're not stopping from stressing your body and making gains for that, if you can't lift as much in the deadlift it just means that those muscles were alredy fatigued by the squats

My planned workout routine consists of jogging and a workout 3 times a week each, is it better do jog and workout on the same day and rest on alternating days, or to alternate jogging one day and working out the next having one pure rest day a week?
My plans is either jogging on monday, wednesday, and friday, working out on tuesday, thursday and saturday with sunday being my rest day, or just jogging+working out on monday wednesday and friday.
I know its important to give your muscles time to recover, so I'm not sure what to do.
Also, should I do whatever workout routine I'm doing that day (whether its just one or both) before or after breakfast?
When/what should I eat in the morning if I'm working out? I've read that you should work out right after waking up before breakfast, but jog like an hour after you eat.

I can't tell you what to do regarding cardio because I never do it - heavy ass lifting kills my legs and I can barely walk up hills, never mind run. Do whatever you want but as soon as you start lifting 2pl8 you're probably not going to enjoy running any more.
But with respect to working out right after breakfast, I'd suggest against it. To paraphrase Rippetoe, you're either crazy or you're pumped up on a shitton of caffeine in order to do that. Some broscience I read somewhere said you're strongest 3 and 10 hours after you wake up - e.g. if you wake up at 6am, you're better off picking heavy things up at 9am or 4pm.
You might also have heard working out in the morning reduces fat faster and I can tell you that this is a complete sack of shit. It doesn't matter when you work out so long as you do work out.
But if you're dead set on working out in the morning right after breakfast then I'd say you'd want a healthy dose of carbs and caffeine to really get your engine going otherwise you'll crap out halfway through because your body is probably still waking up.
As always, do some more research and don't listen to just me

Something that digests extremely quickly, but provides a small amount of energy, just enough to actually supply you through your workout ideally. Or something calorie dense and non-intensive to digest.
I'd recommend high-water content fruits, juice, or maybe a cliff bar. Maybe some bread with no salt (such as chapati) or oil, although that's typically not a easy thing to find.
Honestly I'll even drink trashy sugar-water if I know I need the calories simply because it will help my performance, especially if I will be biking or doing cardio.
In general you just want something that will give you energy and digest quickly. You don't want something to sit in your gut, take effort to digest, or make you feel sluggish.

>Questions are, should I do any cardio besides the usual warmup since I have little fat to burn?
As long as you eat enough, especially (decent) fats if you want to gain weight, yes. If you don't, and can't make yourself eat more, then don't do it much.
>Are beans and soy foods a good source of protein if I rarely eat meat?
They're alright. Nothing wrong with either of them, but if you want to gain weight I'd seriously recommend huge bowls of oatmeal. Personally I have a 1200+ calorie bowl of it every night or two to keep weight on because I'm so active.
>I plan on getting creatine, should I get whey protein as well?
There's no reason to get on whey especially if you're getting enough protein, it tastes like shit, they can lie about how much protein is in there, it's not cheap, and apparently whey is one of the worst forms of protein for your body. So no.
To put it simply you can eat plan baked potatoes and get more protein per $ than whey protein powder, and arguably in a better way as potatoes come with tons of vitamins and minerals. It'd just mean more calories, which depending on your diet may or may not effect you, although even if your diet is shit and it does, you could just add in the cardio to compensate. Cardio will only benefit you and your gains if you have enough fuel and rest after all.

It's not ideal, but it won't lower testosterone.
The main problem is that it does raise IGF-1 levels to a good degree, just as all animal-foods do. Other than that though, it's fine. You can easily eat 3-5 serving a day with no problem.
It's protein quality is just fine however, and it doesn't fuck with your hormones, and actually meat does because bovine hormones are more effective in animals than plant hormones. Who would have guessed?

A meta-analysis of tons of studies in which the conclusion is that "No significant effects of soy protein or isoflavone intake on T, SHBG, free T, or FAI were detected regardless of statistical model."
And to go into a more basic conclusion for the meta-analysis's goal, "The results of this meta-analysis suggest that neither soy foods nor isoflavone supplements alter measures of bioavailable T concentrations in men."

Yes you can raise your test back to normal levels if you remove soy from your diet. Part of the reason you have low libido is probably because your mom's a vegetarian so I'm guessing you don't eat meat, along with eating alot soy makes a bad combo. Meat, red meat in particular will help raise your test. If you don't/can't eat meat fine, whey should help substitute some of the protein you'll be losing from not eating meat. And get some healthy fats into your diet aswell they are essential for healthy hormone production. Whole milk is one of the best vegetarians can drink milk right? and it's also one of the cheapest forms of calories you can get.

I never claimed counting calorie intake/expenditure was exact. You do your best to count how many your taking in and do your best to guess how much your putting out. Of course there are variables. That's why most people shoot for 500cals above maintenance during a bulk for example. Variables such as mis counting/calorie expenditure/ will make the 500cal extra you eat fluctuate. Some days you may get 500cals above maintenance others you may get 100cals due to variables. Same goes for cutting.
Also I'm not like Hillary clinton, if anything I'm like trump. I say the truth and don't waste my time to explain myself to faggots. Also soy DOES lower test… that's a nice article you linked but for every article like that there is another one saying the exact oppisite. Your a vegan faggot. Like, I go into the page where it gives you information on chest exercises, right, and there's this gigantic fucking list of everything (http://exrx.net/Lists/ExList/ChestWt.html#General). >I never claimed!
Doesn't matter, my point still stands, it's not accurate, it's unpredictable, and it's not accurately measurable. It also doesn't take into account the processes that take place with the different types of foods, hormones, caloric-source, etc, that is processed differently and with differing efficiency.
>Also soy DOES lower test…
You know what, you're right.
You are more like trump. A hard hitting retard who has no fucking idea about what he's doing or what reality is based on, but hey, you'll say your bullshit with no fear.
I already cited that it doesn't.
>that's a nice article you linked but for every article like that there is another one saying the exact oppisite.
That's not an article, that's a scientific meta-analysis dumbass. That means it's not an article. Not an opinion. It's statistics (data) from tons of studies, with tens (or hundreds) of thousands of individuals proving soy doesn't affect bioavalible testosterone in men.
>Believe it or not vegan is not the best way to go and isnt the healthiest either.
Well it's certainly better than what you're pedaling.
Outside of something that is not public knowledge, I'd not believe it.
>How many vegan bodybuilders have you seen?
How many vegans do you see? How many have the goal of being a big guy?
From vegan bodybuilders there are on average they're much more successful than meat-eating ones.
>Not many, most bodybuilders who claim to be vegan got to where they were by eating a traditional meat based non autistic diet
Not really.
Most started non-vegan as they were ignorant savages, then saw the light, changed, and continued making all kinds of gains, from physical, strength, psychological, health, etc.
Out of the ones who started vegans, which aren't many that I know of, they've done great.
>Any bodybuilder in decent shape just adopted the vegan shit because news flash, it's a FAD!
Because they look okay and they go vegan and look better and are better in every way means it's a fad? Alright, dumbass.
>Please prove me wrong and post your current body.
It'd be meaningless to do so as you explain in the next sentence you posted.
>Not saying it's impossible but it's extremely hard to meet your macros by eating only plants with no real benefit other than being able to LARP like your somehow healthier because of it.
It's not hard to hit my macros: I don't have any.
I eat generally 90/5/5, sometimes a bit more sometimes a bit less. Usually a little more fat and protein, so 85% carb, 6% fat 8% protein.
I just eat like a king and like I deserve. 5-6k+ calories a day. That's easily 125g+ protein a day without even trying. I don't really ever eat soy aside from maybe a cliff bar every now and again either.
Another benefit other than being healthy is not being a savage, not feeling tired, never feeling sore, always having tons of energy, being able to eat as much as I want, never needing to reduce calories, eat cheaper, likely live longer, etc etc.

America is done, and it's thanks to capitalism and dumbasses who want less taxes. This is why our infrastructure is shit. This is why we don't use cheaper more efficient energy sources. This is why people work shit McDonalds jobs instead of even fucking doing nothing and potentially creating something.
There is no recovery for America, the time has passed, it will take too long to recover what it has brought upon it's self. It may take a decade, maybe even two, but ever so slowly America's grip will slip into oblivion and the east will overtake America, with the new global super-power being China, all because Americans were too ignorant, stupid, brainwashed, and generally stuck in their ways.
I honestly want trump to win just because he will cause the end of the United States sooner, as hillary will remain status quo, and bernie may just keep it alive while we slowly slip more and more behind.

As you said before, it doesn't matter if I do (basically), and thus I won't post one.
You'll just say I started eating meat, or it's not me because that pic isn't a fat pedo, or you'll just say I look like shit even though I look better than you.
I haven't cited a source because I prefer to use pubmeds for evidence rather than men's health articles like most on this board seem to prefer, and thus there hasn't been any study other than studies where they feed an individual extra nuts and they do not gain weight.
The reason for no weight gain is because nuts aren't asbioavalible, especially in whole form, especially uncooked and/or underchewed.
I can cite that if you want.
Other than that though, if you take basic concepts of human physiology you would know it doesn't work because the body adapts to it's conditions, it changes it's way of using energy and the amount based on it's situation, and it depends upon absorption, etc.
You even seem to be agreeing now that it's not accurate, it's only approximate. You're fucking slipping from your position as you know you're wrong. If it's "accurate enough to work" it doesn't fucking work and it's not correct, as you're having to give it room to work. This is like saying that if I run 10miles for 50minutes I can run 10miles in an hour, which is not fucking true and it's not correct. It doesn't fucking work, you're justifying your statements.

>You even seem to be agreeing now that it's not accurate, it's only approximate. You're fucking slipping from your position
How am I slipping from my position you fucking retard? I've never taken the position that calories in vs calories out was 100% accurate. In fact it's impossible to know 100% everything your putting into your body. No 2 eggs will ever have the exact same nutrient value. Yes it's approximate. Every diet where you try to keep track of what your eating is approximate. I've never taken the position opposing that either. And no I dont prefer men's health articles I prefer to go by what the bodybuilding community has been going by for years. Calories I'm vs calories out works and there are hundreds and thousands to attest to that. From professional bodybuilders all the way to your casual gym bro's.
>If its"accurate enough to work" it doesn't fucking work
Well that makes alot of fucking sense dipshit.
>there hasn't been any study other than studies where they feed an individual extra nuts and they do not gain weight. The reason for no weight gain is because nuts aren't asbioavalible
So your saying there are no studies to disprove it? Funny since you've said multiple times that calories in vs calories out has "been disproven decades ago". Also the nut study you mentioned, it wouldnt happen be a study you and your boyfriend conducted on your own would it?
>This is like saying that if I run 10miles for 50minutes I can run 10miles in an hour, which
>10 miles for
>10 miles in
I'm gonna assume that's a typo and I'm not reading it wrong. But that's not a very accurate metaphor either way. A better one would be
>you have to drive somewhere.
>you have an hour to get to your destination.
>day 1 it takes you over and hour to get to your destination
What do you do? Leave earlier next time add calories
>day 2 it takes you 45 mins to get to the destination.
Day 3 it takes your over an hour again due to traffic, aka variables..
What do you do? You check the traffic next time and leave accordingly. if you know you've expended extra calories that day then eat a little extra to make up for variables in calorie expendature like leaving earlier when you know there's heavy traffic.

Yes you squat and deadlift on the same day. If you actually read the plan, you would understand it. You squat, then take your time doing overhead press to let your legs rest, then you deadlift. The muscles worked by OHP are not super involved in the deadlift.
Squat

Hey guys, so my fiance that I've been dating for about a year and a half has recently started becoming "too tired" for sex and I can't figure out what's going on. We had sex about 7 days in a row 2 weeks ago, but one night she randomly said "not tonight" so I assumed she was just honestly tired and gave her the night for rest. Since then however, sex has become extremely sporadic (I do all of the initiating as well, and get shot down often) and I've confronted her about it multiple times, but she just tells me that she doesn't feel attractive anymore (to paraphrase) she is chubby, but very cute and I tell her that. We both do go to the gym, but it has been a few weeks since we've both gone mostly because my new job is already very physical and I'm making gains just by working tbh fam. So my question is, does a girl really lose her sex drive when she feels unattractive? Our relationship is otherwise great. I got really insecure about the lack of sex and went through her phone, she was still getting junk email from a dating website of guys that messaged her, what bugged me was that she looked at them (the emails), I almost left her for this alone, but she showed me that she couldn't actually read the messages when she pressed the link and it had shown that you had to pay, so she couldn't actually read the messages and she was bawling at the thought of losing me, my other question is, do you think I can trust her? I used to be certain that she would never cheat on me, but now I'm not so sure.

1. She might not be attracted to you anymore.
2. She really might not feel attractive herself anymore.
3. She might be depressed.
Or any combination of the three. My advice: Don't jump to conclusions. Remain skeptical, but don't tell yourself that your relationship is already lost. That kind of anxiety will solve nothing; it won't even make the breakup any easier on you, if that's what it will come to. Stay optimistal, be there for her, remain open to all possibilities while trying not to become a paranoid shithead. Good luck, and keep us updated. I wish you the best.-

I was too, man. You've got to want it. But more than that you need to break your current shell. The shell you're stuck in is made up of all your bad decisions. Every sugary soda you drank is another layer of that shell. Every candy bar, every bag of chips, every day you sat in your chair from the moment you got out of bed until the moment you went to sleep. Each one of those things is another layer of hard shell keeping you the way you are. You have to break those things to escape the prison you've made for yourself. I was huge. I was fat as FUCK man, 345 pounds and I just kept telling myself "when I'm 330 I'll do something", "When I'm 340" It never happened. I never gathered up the giveashits.
Nothing will ever gather those give-a-shits for you. If you continue living like you do now you're only adding layers of shell to your prison that will make it all the harder to change later. It will never be easier to change than it is right now because your weight being a problem will only ever get worse. And it gets BAD. Ever had gout? You're probably going to. Your big toe knuckle on either side begins feeling like you broke it but you don't remember hurting it. This will continue for some time then stop, happen a month later. It will never stop until you fix your eating disorder and even once you do if it went unchecked for too long you may have permanent damage.
I'm down to 269 pounds as of this morning. I haven't weighed this little in ten years. Nobody gathered the give-a-shits for me. I had to do it myself. I'm fucking pleased I did, you will be too.
Also, brush your teeth. No excuses. Nasty broken teeth will need to be dealt with at some point and can kill you if they get infected. A top row tooth infection will kill you like a bullet to the brain if you don't get help in time.

'Dental calculus' is the technical term. Tartar is more of a layman's term. They usually use the term 'tartar' in toothpaste and mouthwash commercials. Dentists generally talk to each other about 'calculus,' and calculus is what you read about in medical and dental journals.

I don't think age really matters, you're growing yes, and dead/squats do put pressure on the back, but it's not enough to change anything, unless your form is whack, in fact i think your age gives you a lot of opportunity, do your best now and you'll have a good base for the rest of your life.
Also, i don't see why they speak about strengthening the back first, since deadlifts are ideal just for that, it's like strengthening your chest before trying to bench.

Might consider actually changing to lowbar squats every other week because they are more posterior chain dominant
Leg curls are okay as well but I just hate machines
Anyway, use google and try finding hamstrings/posterior chain dominant lifts and exercises if you are so determined on doing only front squats
Or grow a pair of balls and start doing regular highbar squats, you faggot
Also do them with barefeet whatsoever

Little question
If I do curls with 10Kg dumbbells it's okay, if I do them with 12.5kg dumbbells or 15kg dumbbells they become too heavy to curl without cheating for more than a couple of reps
Now what?
No.90129
>>90127
What exact curl are you doing? I found that after switching to full range of motion I just couldn't get the burning sensation that I did with smaller 90 degree curls. I usually end off my 180 degree preacher curls with some smaller ones just so that it feels like I'm pushing myself as far as I can go.
No.90131

It's bad, but a little, do more deadlifts to compensate and you're covered.
>>90127
Full Range of Motion means Full Range of Motion, if you can't curl more weight correctly, than go back to the lower weight or cheat a little until you can do it properly.

I am talking about the regular dumbbell bicep curls, no fancy curling and I don't want to cheat, really

Yeah, there's a point for me where I can't do any more full range curls and so I finish off with some 90 degree curls.

Yes, lifting is supposed to be fun. Not always, of course. Plateauing for a month is most definitely not fun.
A lot of this fun comes from getting shit done. You execute the individual lifts, you better yourself in the long-term, you simply achieve things. Achievements are fun. If you can manage to squat 225 lbs or deadlift 315 lbs for the first time without being proud of it, then something is wrong with you.
Not every workout is fun, but how much fun you have is something you can influence. I hate high-reps, so I almost never go higher than five reps for my compound lifts. I hate working on machines, so I don't work on machines. I like to try out new lifts, so I do exactly that, no matter how weird or obscure the lift in question is. Just experiment around. If you lift heavy things repeatedly, you will make gains, whether you stick to a super-awesome, but boring routine or not.
>as far as 'lifting for health' goes, ive never felt so unwell in my life
Then you're an idiot and are doing something terribly wrong. Or you're a sissy and should man the fuck up.

I want shoulders big enough to mount cannons on. How do I do this? I need to know.

If you ask a stupid question like that, you must be new. In this case, train your whole body. You can put a focus on delts and traps by doing lots of OHP and shrugs, but don't do them exclusively or you will end up looking like a dysfunctional retard.

How does one go about losing weight and getting moderately fit with no money? When I say no money, I mean I am living paycheck to paycheck and cannot buy a gym membership or extra equipment, so I have to do shit at home. I just want someone to point me in the right direction of basic exercises like push-ups, crunches, all that gay shit and basic cardio that doesn't require extra equipment. Eventually I'll start making more money, but for now all I have to go with is:
>an old stationary bike
>running shoes
>>90300
Not him, but what would you say is the best way to track calories? Like, is there a really good /fit/-recommended app or anything? I doubt there is, because /fit/ is filled with big guys, but its worth asking in a QTDDTOT thread.

Is there any methodology that works? I've seen the penis pump allegedly work for some people. A lot of dissenters say that there is no permanent solution, but there's no permanent solution to being fit, either, you have to maintain a regiment. I wouldn't mind doing that to get a big dick.

Read the sticky. Do a bodyweight routine. A proper one, too. Doing push-ups like a retard will get you nowhere. Add in some advanced movements, eventually. Stuff like planches or one-handed pullups. Do that, and you might get legitimately strong although probably never as strong as an advanced weightlifter.
>>90306
Unless your penis is below 5'', you have no reason to worry about this. Girls don't even know what a large dick is, unless they have a specific fetish, and in that case, you should stay the hell away from them because they have probably fucked a noggernogger this week.

>you might get legitimately strong although probably never as strong as an advanced weightlifter
Eventually I will get serious about getting swole. I've gotten a lot of advice over the years from friends that work out already saying that my body is "perfect" for going big guy (skinnyfat 5'11"), so once I feel better after losing weight and even being able to do a single pull-up I'll get to it.
Additionally, do you think 30-45 minutes a day of the stationary bike is acceptable? I have friction settings so that its not a pointlessly repetitive motion.

As Deutschbro says, not a reason to worry unless you're under like 4 inches. (4-5 is below average but manageable) The only real permanent solution is to get surgery that moves your dick forward.
Penis pumps work by essentially pulling extra blood into your dong, and you need a ring to keep the blood in. It can also cause damage, though, so be wary.
