Is this website a reliable and good source for information?

If not, what are better alternatives?

bump

 No.88135

alright its a stupid question, but there's so much information out there and I'm new to it all. bodybuilding.com comes up a lot in my google searches. I figure that if its a bad source of information it's best I know sooner rather than later.

 No.88139

I think it's pretty good. They have a huge database with pretty much every exercise known to the modern world, with votes from the plebs and sorted by muscle group.

 No.88140

exrx.net is better

bb.com is full of "get abs in 30 days with this unique program", "how actor X trained for role Y" and "buy these useless supplements now" garbage promoted with pics of fake nattys.

It's mediocre at best.

 No.88150

Not really. Bodybuilding.com is about selling their companies goods. There's rarely a year that goes by where there isn't some scandal regarding their spokes people or supplements.

 No.88168

You know this is bait when there's like a sticky on this board already.

>how actor X trained for role Y

Seriously, I hate these articles. If there's so much money involved in looking good for a role, but no drug testing, then you can bet your ass steroids are involved. Also, let's not forget that actors make a living looking good, and are rich as fuck. They can focus on training and don't even have to bother buying healthy food, cooking it or even eating it, for all I know.

If someone with an actual life can learn something from them, it's that having an actual life stands in the way of becoming lean and muscular by doing shitty circuit-training four hours a day while a chinese stuntman calls you a faggot.

BB is probably the best source of info out there but I'm referring the the forum part of it when I say that. There's alot of BS in the articles the site posts. I've learned mostly everything ik from forum posts found by googleing.

 No.88432

I like T-Nation, good articles from some good authors, even Ripp wrote some articles there. Also, Strength Villain (Greyskull LP) forums, Starting Strength, Lean Gains and Powerlifting To Win are really good too.

 No.88567

I personally like elitefts.com.

Best articles around, and you can even send questions to certain authors.

>THE NEW DRUG USED BY CELEBRITIES IS OUT NOW VISIT WWW.DOESNTWORK.GYNO TO FIND OUT MORE

i've seen this shit a lot lately

you should, and everyone else should realize that bodybuilding.com exists to sell supplements (that are garbage/snake oil most of the time)

so their routines and diets are going to be designed to get you to buy their shit. their a business first and foremost.

the forums are filled with newbies who think they know what their talking about, but dont.

i've found from experience and being around powerlifters, high placing NPC competitors and high placing oly lifters that t-nation is pretty good and so is basianbodybuilding.com bc they cite their info with peer reviewed sources.
