I think it doesn't work like that mate, depriving yourself from oxygen in the sleep even if you need a lot less than awake can cause some trouble if I'm not mistaken, you can train to endure lack of certain quantities of oxygen tho, swimming sounds good.

Realize high elevation training masks are a worthless gimmick. They just restrict the flow of air and do not actually lower the amount of oxygen in the air like you would find at high altitudes.

These aren't the same as high altitude training. Why do you think athletes spend weeks or months training. You wouldn't wear this mask for a full day.

High altitudes effect much more of your body than just breathing.
