 No.89348

I am building a gym in my garage because GOD HELP ME IF I DON'T I WILL KILL SOME CUNT.

The latest: on deadlift day, with 3pl8 on the bar, I have worked to this etc. Final set. Just as I am about to lift this cunt says loudly to me

'You want to watch yourself doing that you'll hurt your back I'm only saying…'

I invited him to show me how it is done. I wanted to ducking murder him. Seriously. I train fasted which makes my test rocket anyway and yes I'm a fighter. This shit happens EVERY BASTARD TIME. You may recall crossfit headsock bitch.

This is the reason I hate machines. Machines attract useless cunts who stop and stare at you when you powerlift and who think it's some kind of open forum to discuss my bare feet or my form.

Can't just be me. Can it?

Fuck it. You pull 3pl8, anon. That's enough to start to act like a man. Just say it, for Christ sake.

>"Hey, you piece of shit, I'm pulling 3pl8, I'm experienced enough and unless you can pull more than me, I don't want your help"

 No.89350

>>89349

Oh did I miss the bit out where I menaced the cunt? That's not the point. The point is the gym is a twat magnet and I've had enough of this bullshit. Do I suffer alone?

 No.89352

>>89350

Nope. I constantly get useless advice from people who lift less than me. A lot of fatalities could be avoided if they didn't correct me, but the idiot pulling with a double-supinated grip.

 No.89354

Since when was a 3pl8 deadlift worthy of any respect? Does anyone on this board actually lift anymore?

 No.89365

>>89354

Agreed, 3pl8 isn't an achievement, literally anyone can achieve it in a year or so of training unless they're starting from full on auschwitz-mode.

 No.89366

>>89365

>Forgot to actually sage

Whoops.

 No.89369

>>89365

1 year? If you can't achieve that in 3-6 months, you're doing something wrong.

 No.89373

>>89365

I followed a shitty routine when I started almost 4 months ago less than 4 months, almost 3 and a half and I am at 2.5pl8, 3pl8 shouldn't take a year

>My old Gym

Faggots only looking for aesthetics and not strength

A manlet owner who roided his ass of without amounting to much

Brosplits

No power rack, no old rack that doesn't have safety bars either

Only Smith Machines

Thinks he knows all the shit when he's an ignorant piece of shit

Other gym patrons refuse to call deadlifts "Deadlifts"

They're all like:"Deadlift is the lift you can do only one time mayn"

They haven't heard of 1RM

When they do "Deadlifts" which they call the lumbar they do the following

1- be careless about posture and form

2-jerk the bar

3-bend their back hyperextending their lumbar area as if they are asking for disk damage

4-low weight

5-High reps like 4x10 or so

6-mixed grip

7-Not let the bar touch the ground what so ever

>Current gym:

Have only seen 4 guys other than myself squatting at the rack which doesn't have safety bars including 2 of my friends I train with that I got to squat

When people see me squatting trying to go as deep as I can they are all like:"No man, your knees shouldn't get past your toes and you shouldn't go that deep"

Have only seen one other dude deadlifting does the same stupid shit like the other gym

>tfw lifting 3pl8 in december

>tfw didn't get any higher than that so far

Not sure why I'm stalling this hard.

 No.89382

>>89380

You're either not sleeping enough, not eating enough or not lifting hard enough.

 No.89390

>>89382

I can't pick out any of those, really. If anything, it'd be not lifting hard enough (going too infrequently). Still, that doesn't feel like it really explains it, but it's not like you can do much wrong when you sleep more, get more protein and lift harder, so I'm gonna do that anyway.

>3pl8

>considering an achievement worth of being a jerk to the fools around you

I'm like the egypt dude who lifts for 4 months and got 120kg at the deadlift, 3pl8s aren't something to brag about, 3pl8s at the Bench for reps, 5pl8s in the deadlift and squat and overhead press your body weight are something to brag about.

 No.89467

>>89378

sucks to be in sandcountry

>>89464

he aint bragging

 No.89475

>>89465

Overhead bodyweight is nowhere near as difficult as the rest of those.

Youd need 1.5x at least to be equal to those lifts.

 No.89495

>>89348

Tell him to keep his unsolicited advice to himself and piss off. Seriously, he's just jealous, and if you confront him, he'll back down.

 No.89499

No-one says a thing in my gym, most I get is the odd sideways look from some chump expecting me to injure myself but my form is solid.

I only ever see the a couple of young guys and one meathead deadlifting, the rest are dumbbells/ez-bar curling it or fagging it up on machines.

 No.89528

Jesus fucking Christ you autistic homos are a bastard nightmare to rival these cunts in the gym.

Share your fitness stories they said! Tell your bros of your troubles. And lo! They swarm over you with DYEL bullshit and start doing eight hour curl sets.

I'm 70 kilos and have been lifting since January. I did it to get stronger for fighting, and now I'm into it. All right? Anyone want to have a go?

 No.89529

>Everyone who rags on me for thinking i'm hot shit is rich panini

Lel stay mad dyel faggot

Just kidding love you, no homo. It's just banter, britbong.

 No.89531

>>89475

I weight 85kg m8, it's pretty difficult.

>>89528

We're not bashing you britbong, just be more self-aware about what to brag about and what to not brag about.

 No.89532

>>89348

btw, if someone is fucking with you in the gym, just do your shit and stay focused, you probably already outlift most of the cunts, don't get upset because of a dyel and maymay "lifters".

 No.89536

>>89532

Next time someone is giving me useless advice, I'll thank them for their input, then keep doing what I have been doing all along. My gym is full of idiots with no plan.

 No.89538

>>89536

I feel a little bad tho, usually I'm the guy who stops and takes a look at your form and I talk to a couple of mates and the gym to show a few lifts and how to bench or squat/deadlift properly, I think I'm doing something good at the beginning but in the end of the day it gives a bad taste in me mouth to see how annoying I sound sometimes, some guys are just trying to help.

 No.89539

>>89365

3pl8 is not much, but it's enough to be superior than anybody at your comercial gym.

 No.89542

Not a single one of you e-statting fatties can lift half that.

Prove me wrong.

 No.89551

>>89542

>e-stat

kek I don't even know what is this shit, but I know I have 4pl8s of 25kg and a 25kg bar, if it isn't 125kg then I'm going to kill myself and you in the process.

 No.89580

>>89551

225kg you mean?

 No.89585

>>89551

Yes m8 3pl8 means 3 plates on either side of the bar. So six. For you that would be eight, and if so I'm impressed. Then again I only lift 170 so I'm obviously a massive homo.

 No.89589

>>89542

I regularly do 2 and half (5 total), don't tar us all with the same fat neckbeard brush.

 No.89619

>>89542

I've got a 4pl8 dead. Some people lift, but apparently you aren't one of them.

 No.89628

>>89580

>>89585

Nah, that was my autism when saying plates sorry they're normal 25kg pl8s, 125kg in total.

and I was saying that because the burger above thinks everyone here e-stat their lifts, that's a massive bullshit

 No.89738

Ok blog update. Mr Shit Talk was there again Monday, which was deadlift day. I am brusque and he fails to get the message. I warm up, get to rep weight and this is his cue to come over and offer his entirely welcome input.

I lifted twice and just turned round and roared in his face. He looked like he was going to piss himself with fear. Job done.

Tl:dr - roar at arseholes in the gym

 No.89739

>>89738

>I lifted twice and just turned round and roared in his face.

Jesus H. Christ, you're being even more autistic than "Mr Shit Talk" and almost as much of an asshole as Kirk Karwoski, except that Captain Kirk squats 1000 for doubles while you're deadlifting a beginner's weight.

 No.89758

>>89628

2pl8 then?

 No.89759

>>89758

2.5pl8 m8

 No.89811

>>89390

A friend of mine tried this and he said it helped him break through his deadlift plateau. I have no idea what the technical terms are, so bear with me.

Elevate the bar up maybe 6 inches. See how much you can lift then. If your working set is 315x5, you might be able to do 325x5 or even more. Every session, do the same weight but lower the bar an inch or less. He did it by making a bunch of 2'x2' plywood boards that were about 3/4" thick, totaling about 6". Every session he'd remove a board. Eventually you're lifting off the ground and now it seems much easier.

I've never tried this myself, but I will if I ever stall. He said it worked well and he stalled at maybe 3.5pl8.

 No.89831

>>89811

Sounds a bit like rack pulls to me. I recently started doing those. They are a ton of fun. I thought about a similar way of progressing as your friend did yesterday, funny enough. Thanks for the suggestion!

I feel like my deadlift-mojo is slowly coming back. I think I'll try a new PR today.

 No.89840

>>89739

All I'm saying is give roaring a chance. There's no chalk here however I think having dangly straps when bellowing into the face of a fellow gym user adds a certain frisson.

>>89840

Wait a sec. You use straps. On 3pl8. Motherfucking straps. 3pl8. You goddamn piece, of shit, I'm deadlifting that raw and I still don't go around calling myself a fucking cage fighter.

 No.89893

>>89859

Fighting has been a hobby for about twelve years, I've picked this up in a few months and yes it will improve. I can't chalk because it's banned. The bar isn't knurled well and it's narrower than an Olympic bar proper. It's not ideal but it's beside the outdoor pool.

I'm deeply hurt by your remarks.

 No.89955

>>89893

> narrower than an Olympic bar proper

So it's a deadlift bar right?
