if that's actually his barbell and not just a googled picture, there are plenty of rust removal treatments you could use on it and not waste the money buying a new one. it's not like the thing is rotting in half, it's just surface damage.

yeah, i can DL 265 if i use straps, but 225 is where my left hand is topping out.

Buy some hand grips, i had the same problem and its what sorted it for me. What other people have said is right too if you dont want to spend money.

Deadlift for higher reps, more weight on the shrugs, and hold your reps more longer, it will help a bunch, good luck mate.

That's good to hear. Barbells are expensive af.

any brand/sites you would recommend for these, or are any good?

I bought the ones in the pic and they are working nicely. They go up to a 350lb rating by 50lb increments so they will have something you can do and something you can progress to. Cost about £30 iirc and you get 3 different weight ratings.

It does rub the skin on my fingers but its not painful and hasnt hurt lifting at all. Ive noticed a significant increase in grip strength in not much time so they definitely worked for me.

Captains of crush look much the same but cost more so maybe they are more comfortable. There doesnt seem to be much choice unless you want some retarded looking thing with individual fingers.

An excercize that is amazing for grip that I use is where you hold the bar behind your back with your palms facing away from you and you curl your wrists up as fast as you can for as many reps as you can and add weight as it gets easier. It works your forearms extremely well
