I still support the idea of suicide grip if you have long fingers, I can hold the barbell without much problems on the OHP and it felt very good, I could squeeze 3x10 with 52kg, if I'm correct you can use more of your triceps in the process, it helps a bunch, probably 2 more reps in each set in my case.

I do use a suicide grip. Imagine holding a bar like in this picture. The bar is staying in his hands because 20 pounds. If the bar weighed 135, his thumbs would probably dislocate. I can bench 4 plates, and I am positive that if the bar wanted to go my thumbs couldn't stop it. I feel it is of equal safety to a regular grip bench press (unless you wobble a shit ton), but in my case the hand position removes some stress on the wrist and elbow. This is good because I have tendonitis in my forearms.

That's bullshit, try to deadlift with both grips, are you going to tell me that a thumbless grip ios just as good? that the thumbs do nothing to hold the bar?

I have to say though, i'm surprised you're supposedly able to bench 4pl8s and still have your neck in place.

Suicide grip isn't thumbless, the thumb grips the bar just as much. Try doing an over under deadlift grip with your thumbs on the same side of your other fingers, it's called a monkey grip. You will be just as strong in this position. Your thumb joint however is not capable of stopping a heavy weight from moving in a direction normal to the palm if your wrist rolls forward when you bench.

But still, there's no way the thumb can exert as much force in that position, the point of thumbs is to grab things with it opposite to the fingers, that's why we have them, it makes no sense to not use them in the way they should be used, especially if it's about holding heavy ass weights.
