First of all,I'd request of the board owner of /forfree/ to allow me to keep this Thread.
I was a vol for /pol/ for the last 3 months.
You could consider what I'm writing to be a warning for the /pol/acks of what is and what is to come, but its more my obligation to inform you of what is happening behind closed doors on /pol/ and it is up to you to decide how you would process this information that I provide.
For those who would say I'm writing this out of butthurt I assure you not,it is merely due to the fact that I have no more power to help where I was previously doing so.
I was a frequenter of 4chan for more than 5 years,/pol/ was my 2nd or 3rd main board to browse according to different periods.However with the increased internet surveillance and the installation of the google botnet my activity there would be mainly lurking.During that time I went to peripheral imageboards free of these intrusions where people of similar concerns were sharing an experience of quality over quantity.
When I first heard of 8chan about 4 or 5 months ago and how it is free of the surveillance systems applied in 4chan's website I began frequenting it aswell.
During then /pol/ was just starting and was a slow board with no real need for moderation.Threads would stay for weeks and you neednt check there daily to see all the threads.

But after 2nd exodus things went crazy on the site with shitposting and bot spam. It was then when I could see all these around me but could do nothing that I decided I should help with moderation to give a better experience for the base which gave a new hope,so I applied to be a volunteer.
In the meantime the adoption of /pol/ as an official board then the return of it as an unofficial board in a matter of 2 days occured and it was mainly as explained by HW due to the abusive nature of the current mods who were effectively turning /pol/ into a hugbox and giving bans left and right to any dissenting opinions.
This is documented with HW posts and a screencap of banlist of /pol/ during that time.

hat people didnt know is that most of these mods are probably global mods as claimed by someone who leaked a screencap of a /gg/ thread showing how they monitor users with notes,the user who leaked those claimed they were later changed or removed.
From this screencap I could identify /pol/ board owner(Heil) and 2 other /pol/ vols(imkampfy &6millionth).However the notes could be boardwide so this info isnt confirmed.

After the debacle with HW it was claimed that a single mod was responsible for the abuse and it was claimed that he was outed.Im still suspicious of this..
During that time I was given mod status in /pol/ and I started moderating with only 2 other mods,where it was claimed by the board owner that there are 5 mods besides him.
Those other mods just like the board owner never showed up,but I knew who they were simply because they were present in IRC.I suspect that one of them was the one who was claimed to be outed while in fact he was just given a suspension.(imkampfy)
Around 2 weeks ago an imkampfy resumed activty,however it was anything but ordinary this mod seemed to act just like the one who was supposedly criticised and outed before.He wasnt abiding by the rules which ensured transparency of moderation of the baord.
I was regularly finding autosaged threads and I thought it would be a mistake as it was clear in the rules that no threads would be autosaged.
He was giving extended bans to anything he doesnt like and deleting threads off the board without any notice.

I was busy during the first week when he resumed activity but then I started noticing this alot.Ofcourse I would think this is a mistake since he was out for long time and I would try to fix the mess he made in /polmeta/ where he never answered to any thread there.Im sure many people remember being in a thread which 404 or making threads that were never bumped despite containing valuable information during the last 2 weeks
I would message the board owner with his intrusions with screencaps and the board owner never said I was wrong he would just say that he will talk to him about it.This happened for about a week and during then I left comments about it that this isnt acceptable.One other mod has also noticed this but he only commented on it once,probably because he knew he couldnt do anything.
Later we had an irc meeting to discuss the rules and even before everyone were there he started attacking me to the degree that I couldnt believe such a person is allowed to hold moderation powers.I wish I saved the whole thing but I didnt I just copied the first part for the lulz and before I could copy the rest it was gone due to the amount of cache I've given to history in my irc client.

For the notion after the board owner came they all posted 88 like some wanna be stormfag.I did that reluctantly because I thought I'd clear the air a bit before discussions begin.
During our IRC meeting and as you can see from the chat , he wanted to censor the board and avoid sticking to the presented rules of the board. 2 other mods ;one of which Ive never seen active on /pol/ and which I suppose to be a global mod aswell(faggetts); stood with him against me and you can have an idea about the convo from the pastebin,I also mentioned during the discussions that if we arent doing things the right way that I might leave to which they hastedly replied this is a great idea. They even literally mentioned fascism and attacked me for saying we should be neutral with moderation. During our debate I was pushing for transparency while everyone else was against me. I realized even before that that they are in on this together and probably even know each other personally they only made me a mod because I was on the otherside of the world so I could cover a different period of time.To make things seem ok the board owner after some pushing by me told them to have a 1 hour minimum of locking threads before deletion but I suspect he really meant it,as well as not to autosage anymore.

Next day,I logged in to find even more autosaged threads and threads being immidiately deleted I'm sure some /pol/acks who were banned can confirm this if they remove the ban list. He was banning self-improvemnt threads aswell and a thread discussing christian values in relation to scoiety,but the thing that made me message the board owner again was that he deleted a thread discussing art which was acceptable earlier and giving the op a 4 week ban which was unjustified.The same happened, the board owner told me he'd speak to him but by then I suspected there is something fishy so I messaged the other mod who seemed to have an idea about this as well.
And that was when my mod status was revoked.
I'm a very busy man and I was trying to cut myself from anything which could resemble a honeypot,i only sticked around because I thought there would be potential for this,however as it seems I was wrong so i guess i'd better turn the page and move on from here.
For those who remember aswell I posted as an anon a month ago showing screenshots proof of active sliding and shilling on /pol/ I was trying to help by warning /pol/acks of the tactics they used.Now I cant help with this anymore.I hope you like your soon to be hugbox.
