Here's a newsflash: the FBI literally does not give a shit what ultra-liberal hipsters and internet trolls do
If there is an investigation, it's so slow that nothing will ever come out of it

LizardSquad on the other hand caused millions of dollars worth of damages and are a high profile target
LizardSquad is worth more to them than Gamergate or their opponents ever will be

FBI is investigating but it was never said what, meaning it was most likely the money laundering/tax evasion/racketeering done by indie game devs. If they were investigating gamers the sjws would have not been able to help themselves bragging about it.
