Why did you go full autist on your deconstruction of Hotwheels' tweet? You seem mad that he got rused by some dumbass, but there's no need to be condescending.

Also, you can't dismiss what happened to pol as a common occurrence, considering the 8chan filter was lifted at the same time. It's pretty clear what the message was.

he's a new york SWPL, close enough

I just got done reading all of the locked posts. If they are true it means we were being autistic for nothing -_-. but that is nothing new I guess

Oh, oops, thought you were a regular anon. If you don't know, you can mark yourself as a board owner (if you're logged in) by using
Coldpockets ## Board Owner
Anyway, I thought of a a few questions.

1. So, just to be clear, all the posts purporting to be 4chan staff, e.g. the one alleging a coup after the raid on Tumblr, are fake, right?
2. Briefly, what's the moderation structure of 4chan like? Janitors become mods become globals, or what?
3. I know from your other posts that you must not have much interaction with moot. But what would you guess he thinks of 8chan or Hotwheels? Any chance of that 24-hour deadline being met?
4. What caused you to turn? Is moot just being a kike in general, or did he make a specific decision? If answering this could reveal who you are to another mod/jani reading this, then don't bother.
5. Were/are any of the SJWs/other undesirables who have been fingered as mods or janitors actually in those positions? Were they fired or kept on?

If I think of more, I'll post them, but that's a lot for now.

933c75 No.89

Not a board owner on 8chan, sorry.

>the one alleging a coup after the raid on Tumblr, are fake, right

fake AF.

>Janitors become mods become globals

globals were janitors who after being trusted enough became global janitors. This was done away with because it made more sense to just mod them.

The structure is janitors, mods, moot.

>ut what would you guess he thinks of 8chan or Hotwheels? Any chance of that 24-hour deadline being met?

Gossip's for teenage girls. The deadline's immaterial now that moot outed his own agreement.

>turn

That's a funny way of spelling "fired."

>Were/are any of the SJWs/other undesirables who have been fingered as mods or janitors actually in those positions? Were they fired or kept on?

You'd have to name names here, I don't obsessively follow gossip.

I recall seeing in one of the aussies hacked screenshots a big thread, like 200+ posts about known ban evaders. Can you post that? What about the rest of /jp/, why not archive it and make it available for everyone to see?

1. Do we know if coldpockets is a janny or just a random troll?
2. Is this any evidence Redwood was demodded? This is a rumor that comes up every time he is talked about, but last I knew moot publicly defended him and there is no evidence he is not a mod.
3. Just general thanks to the forfree anons for doing this. You back up your claims, and call out bullshit on both sides when you see it. It is a refreshing change from the hatred and trolling of 4chad's staff.

Are you aware of any rules allowing links to certain sites to not be considered spam and allowed when links to competing sites are banned?

7f973f No.250

As for the archive request. It could be lame but I think it'd be interesting to peek behind the veil.

f1fca9 No.254

>>174
Alright, names. The ones that spring to mind immediately are Alex Lifschnitz and Haven Luckenbill. One was an SJW, one was an EA employee, and both were alleged to be current mods.

Also, I'd argue that this entire board is petty gossip and Internet drama, but you've got the information, not me.

584b73 No.255

>>254
Alex was not a mod, just a shill. Haven was was a janitor.

aceedd No.256

>>255

What about redwood is he a mod or a janitor?

a26859 No.265

>>249
>Are you aware of any rules allowing links to certain sites to not be considered spam and allowed when links to competing sites are banned?
Janitors wouldn't be told that kind of thing.

>>250
>interesting to peek behind the veil
I'm not making it up, it had zero drama and virtually nothing doxworthy considering that the names of known ban evaders are, well, known.

No one used it to talk about their personal lives or complain at length about 4chan.

>>256
Red was a janitor who got promoted to mod before going into the military. It's possible that he's still a mod.

412b7a No.268

>>265
Loli threads are still being autosaged into oblivion so I guess he is still around. Didn't know he was in the military so hopefully that keeps him off the site.

cade42 No.271

>>268
That's because you haven't figured out the magic of how autosage works.

OP bumping his own thread.
Using certain words in the OP.
Posting from certain IPs.

There are many things in place that can cause a thread to autosage. It's called "auto" for a reason.

a26859 No.273

>>254
>The ones that spring to mind immediately are Alex Lifschnitz and Haven Luckenbill
Alex's writing style and strident positions don't mesh with the people I knew from IRC. If you talked like that in #janiteam people would look at you funny.

>>268
>Loli threads are still being autosaged into oblivion so I guess he is still around.
You're assuming that whichever board you're thinking of has no other janitors.

>Didn't know he was in the military so hopefully that keeps him off the site

The second half of your sentence is unrelated to the first.

aceedd No.276

>>273
>janitors
can janitor autosage now?

412b7a No.278

>>271
These were fairly active threads (the ones that survived made it to bump limit) and OP titles were changed constantly in efforts to escape Redwood. These threads would often survive for hours, even when mods were around, only to be hit by an autosage at the worst possible moment.

>>273
So are all of the janitors against SFW /a/ loli threads now or what?

f0a516 No.279

>>210
I don't know if Redwood was demodded, but I know that when I was still a janitor, I never saw him log into IRC at all, which was something we were all supposed to do when we were actively doing something on the site.

I know others on IRC had asked about him, and the admins on IRC made it seem like he was still a mod, but pretty much an absentee one.

a26859 No.281

>>276
>can janitor autosage now?

Janitors have to request it from mods. Janitors' powers are the following:

Delete posts/images/threads
Ban request
Post without cooldowns

Anything else is a mod at work.

7689ce No.282

>>281
Are autosage and bumplock different things? As you said autosage is automatic, but on Tinyboard and derivatives you can manually set a thread to be unbumpable. Is there a similar functionality in 4chan's software?

>So are all of the janitors against SFW /a/ loli threads now or what?

Is MQr here? He should kill himself.

a26859 No.288

All they did was make all further posts by OP silently have sage on. The intention and effect is that OPs can't drag their threads to page one by just endlessly reposting in them, they have to have actual participation from other users.

>>215
>>250
I wasn't aware http://j.vyrd.net existed but in my time the board was no different than this.

584b73 No.412

File: 1421633388340.jpg (54.61 KB, 500x491, 500:491, yawn.jpg)

>>288
Wrong. Loli threads frequently go on auto sage and they did the same thing to gamergate. When a thread with a large reader base and low post count isn't bumping that was bumping before, it means the mod did something to it. Also I have bumped threads only 20-30 minutes after I posted them as OP which means the OP sage thing is time limited. All of these make me think you're a troll.

a26859 No.415

>>412
Nothing I said was about OP being unable to bump their own threads any longer is mutually exclusive to additional rules targeting keywords, or janitors alerting mods and requesting autosages.

Read more carefully before deciding you know something.

584b73 No.418

>>415
You said all they did was change OP bumping which is a lie.

a26859 No.420

>>418
I was asked how autosaging with OP posts worked, I wasn't implying that this is the only form of autosaging.

OP keyword autosaging is real now, but in the time I was a janitor I wasn't aware of it or it hadn't been implemented yet.

Holy fuck those /co/ posts were a blast from the past. I remember all that shit with the tripfags and Wyatt. Also shit I miss the request threads those were awesome to get old shit. They'd be especially helpful now with all the old archives I've seen getting pruned.

So THAT'S what happened with a thread about nazi girls I made there once. I thought it was because I was the only one actually dumping shit, but now that I'm aware of how this stuff works it was probably some faggot SJW mod setting it to autosage. This was roughly 2 months ago btw.

See? It works.

If they had deleted your thread you may have remade it or complained.

A lot of people do not even know what "sage" is.

6ed385 No.744

Since we're on the topic:

What did the staff think of the removal of visible sage?

>>741

It's a very effective tactic, I admit. I had no idea how the OP's sage thingy worked before. Only one guy besides me posted in the thread. It would probably attract more people if it wasn't set to autosage. Now I'm fucking pissed that I couldn't discuss muh nazi qts because of SJW cunts infiltrating the moderation.

Dang this gives me a massive feel.

Although to be fair miuna Monday is shitposting but btw I'm >>412, not the guy you were responding too.

The moderation on /a/ is too dodgy, miuna threads should be deleted more often but on the other hand mods leave up shitty bait threads like commie memesubs and feminist pedophile shitposting.

I suggest we make a miuna thread on 8shit and keep it more general as a pa works general, okada general and shirobako and wixoss too. Just my idea.

935371 No.816

>>796
About janitoring, not about janitors.

/j/ was forced anonymous with only the names of the poster's boards and then when moot realized we could determine who was who from that if there were more than one board, he removed even that.

In #janiteam we only knew which boards we handled by asking each other or through conversation, but there wasn't a public roster.
