You're talking about Redwood, right? Because I know in the entire time I did it for free, I never saw him log into IRC once, not even after the Australian hack thing, when we all had to log in and change our info.

Crap, meant to post in reference to this
>I fucking wish we had 21 mods, sheeit. There's around 15 of them, and half of them are asleep in Euro timezones. There is only a handful of mods who I know are buddies with moot in real life. And to that extent, they've only been together at panels held at various conventions.
If you're searching for nepotism in moot's history, you're going to come up surprisingly dry. There is only a single real instance of favoritism in staff, namely a janitor who does not sign into IRC and does not help work on any boards actively. He is close friends with moot irl and was actually a mod prior, but was demoted because he does jack shit. I suppose moot doesn't boot him altogether because they're still buddies.

>>272>There is only a single real instance of favoritism in staffAt the exact moment that RapeApe was starting to ban janitors who did not consistently log in, moot promoted Redwood to a mod even while he was derelict in his duties as a janitor.
moot does not have a history of promoting janitors who are asleep at the wheel, and Redwood was one of the few NYC janitors. Mods made stickies for his cosplay and overlooked him making tinychat threads (which was against rules and a banworthy offense for repeat offenders).
I'll agree that there are few examples of nepotism in #janiteam but if Redwood didn't qualify for that term you'll need to define it in a way we understand.
