He so rarely ever said anything in #janiteam. I strongly suspect he had one or two regular Janitor accounts that he used instead of the moot account. Just to preserve his mysterious distance from the team.
When he did speak, it was usually to ask if anyone could help with a board or just to banter about nothing. He's a very, very stand-offish guy for the most part, but now and then he'll get to talking and almost seem like he's babbling drunk. Except he (says he) doesn't drink.
He's a confusing kid, to be sure. I always found it best to shrug and move on.

I can tell you that moot had very little tolerance for dissidence on IRC. I saw him, without a word, flat out delete/ban/change the janiteam password when one of the older janitors got mad about a decision and ranted a little in #janiteam.
When your position completely hinges on the mood of the owner, you have little recourse but to say "yes massah" and do whatever you're told. He is God in his little world and doesn't like any reminders that he's not God in other worlds.
I wouldn't say paranoid, but he is a complete attention whore. He craves reassurance and seeks validation from others. There were two janitors in their 40s - McNuggets and duanemoody - who seemed pretty prolific. McNuggets had 5 or 6 boards under him and duanemoody had 3 or 4. Major boards, too.
They both got fired at some point. Not sure why.
Janiteam is really poorly run. moot is a terrible manager of people and time and 90% of the staff are 18-20 year old college flunkies or NEETs.
