1. No proprietaryposting
Proprietaryposting is defined as shilling (advocacy) for proprietary software.
Solely discussing proprietary software (like making a w10 thread) is not allowed, but discussing/comparing proprietary software vs. free software is. Although not encouraged.
2. No shitposting
Shitposting is defined as a post without any meaningful content. I label spamming under the same term.
Calling people out on their bullshit is not a shitpost, neither is anything "you don't like" or "agree" with.
3. Spoiler NSFW
People browse from everywhere, don't assume everyone on Freetech is alone at home (even though that is the reality). Assume spoilered images are NSFW.
4. Sticky / Meta
Straight Tech-related questions goes to the tech-support sticky.

5. Thread creation
You need to make it clear your thread is to encourage discussion - and not to solve your personal problem, or to promote/shill. Always check if there is a similar thread before you create one.
