Sounds pretty good. Glad to see we were able to dodge a bullet with you problem/solution system.

When we add new things, we need to be sure to also include a change log.

Only issue I see here, since species will more than likely be community designed, we have no system in place in order to indicate if anything is finished, or that we should stop working on something. If someone is writing a story, and someone comes along, and makes too many changes to a species, you will run into an issue. Then again, we also have head canons as well.

I made presentation/introduction for the project:

THE ANTHROGIRLS ENCYCLOPEDIA PROJECT (provisional name, can be changed for a better one in the future)

WHAT IS THIS?

A xenophile fan made project for xenophiles and Anthro lovers inspired by the Japanese “monster girl encyclopedia” and the anime “Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls” we want to start a community made encyclopedias involving different Anthro/xenophile related creatures including but not only: machine anthros like the aeromorphs, animal kingdom related anthros, aliens…

we want to expand the concept of the monstergirl encyclopedia with different kinds of Anthro related creatures and develop a culture/group of enthusiast xenophiles developing and discussing about this project (and maybe other ones in the future)

RULES (early stage)

-Based and heavily inspired by the Japanese monster girls encyclopedia: we want to create the Anthro xenophile counterpart

-Focus on the straight content: explaining the relation between human males and those exotic females in a erotic way

-Eye in the future and expansions: we will begin with mammals (is the easiest one to start), but we also can do an alien or even aeromorph one, we will be the ones putting the limits

-Collaborative, open to participation, a xenophile project made by and for xenophile fans

-Focusing on the animal/creature/machine exclusive characteristics and adapt them to the anthrogirl personality, behavior, culture and sexual/erotic purposes

-Always open to improve: we can always learn new things and characteristics about the animals or the beings the anthrogirl is based, so when a new interesting thing is discovered, it should be ok to improve the anthrogirl even if she was done time ago to add this new feature and make it better

-Extreme fetishes like scat, farts, diapers, slobs are not allowed

-Solving natural problems: In nature some species have an undesirable but characteristic trait, one important thing to do is explain these undesirable characteristics these creatures have and say to the reader how their more civilised counterparts (the anthrogirls) have dealt and fix it, these are some examples:

PROBLEM: flies eat using a sponge like mouth, and is common see them drinking fluids from pee and shit.

SOLUTION: The anthrogirl flies evolved and no longer eat this kind of stuff, in fact, is seen in their society as a taboo, a very uncivilised and barbaric behaviour and a social stigma, they even used this in their history as an extreme punishment in some concrete historical moments as an ultimate humiliation (think in a french revolution but with anthro flies, trying to punish tyrants royal members). Although the fliegirls can't avoid having their food source of fluids, this made them become an expert in juices and smoothies, they became famous for it and their merchants sell this fruit based drinks to other races and even create some juice franchises

The discussion center:

we mostly use the /fukemo/ board (https://8ch.net/fukemo/) for the discussion of this project for this reasons:

1- Cringe free/no drama allowed board (no fursuits, no fursonas, no donutsteel and no silly stuff)

2-Xenophile/anthro dedicated board, it includes all kinds of xenophile/ anthro creatures

3- Straight content board: focused on male human and female anthro

4- Extreme fetishes (scat, farts, diapers, slobs, etc…) are not allowed

What you wrote would be good for advertising outside of 8chan, like whatever forum there is, but you'd have to put it under a project section or whatever. The ad/intro needs to be put out first though, because people wouldn't know what /fukemo/ is the first time they hear it.

Back to the topic : How about furry males ?

Now don't get me wrong, it's a female-focused project and we don't want to appeal to cock-lovers… but we can't just rip-off the mamono encyclopedia and pretend furrygirls are only female and reproduce with humans.

Maybe we can make them have matriarcal societies (think of wolves, but gender reversed, alpha female, etc.) but it could be kind of redondant especially for more submissives types of anthro (cows, sheeps, etc.) …

We could also say there had a huge decline in their male population (a Y chromosome-specific desease or they all became like those "beautiful ones" in the "mouse utopia experiment" (vid related))

Well, what i was trying to say is that even if we don't talk about them, we should at least acknowledge their existence.

The way MGE does some things makes sense to me. Simple entries are a good idea. You get a monster girl, you get a nice picture, and you get some info. Not TOO much info, though, just very general racial info, and occasionally some cultural info. Basically, just what flavor of waifu this particular waifu is.

Keeping things simple like that means it's very easy to come up with a new entry since you only need a concept and basic info to go along with it. Monster girls in MGE are just vague waifu concepts, not characters. Readers tend to pick up a blank MGE waifu they like and then get her all fixed up with aftermarket modifications. A personality, their own look, a backstory, whatever. It also leaves a lot of room for writers to write their own stories, obviously. A glut of information isn't necessary here.

In between releasing normal entries, you can come up with more detailed information when the inspiration strikes. The most important thing is that the simple stuff has readers interested in more information. Too much information at once might bore a reader, so you can't start dropping hardcore world building immediately. The reader has to be hooked first; you have to draw them in.

I wouldn't say I like KC all that much. I don't really like his writing or his behavior. His art is good, but his sense of design seems a little questionable. The way MGE is produced, at least, makes sense to me.

Depends on the direction of this encyclopedia. The reason why people who like MGE don't like monster boys is that it goes directly against the core concept. In MGE monster girls NEED human men. They're valuable in that world, and they're the reader self-inserts. Monster boys existing would diminish the value of human men in this situation. MGE is, unambiguously, wish-fulfillment… so this runs against that purpose.

I'm hyped RIGHT now.

I want to resurrect this idea from the dead.

I would like this project to take off in order to give our board some kind of identity and a common metric to go by. Keep in mind this might turn out different than what we are hoping for. /monster/ built their community around a MGE and is new. Furfaggotry is much older and is more established. We don't have an exact canon, but there are some things that might cause tension, like /tg/ arguing about tits on a lizard.

As much as I like doing the MGE clone, I think we could do something a little more original than an encyclopedia. Instead we do something like a review, like an RCR review of a furrygirl and see where it goes from there. The setting can then come later on, or can be disregarded completely as some people will outright ignore it.

It may of been. So what is your point. To me, they are more along the lines of something like the Incas or the Aztecs. Africans were a more extreme, but much easier to understand as an example. At least the South American civilizations were able to build impressive cities out of stone, and had some degree of metal working, but were still outclassed when the Cortez and Pizzaro came over to visit. It did, however, take them a while to get to that level, as their civilizations started around the 1430's and lasted for only 100 or so years.

War and conflict is what makes a civilization, and Europe's history is filled with wars. South America had it easy. For instance, compare the Roman Empire with the South American civilizations. The Roman Empire easily outclasses them in every dimension while being 1400+ years older. Then look at (and I can't believe I'm going this far) Cornerians and Cerinians. Who showed up with their cities, spaceships, and fancy shit? Who had their planet destroyed?

I'll give you that it isn't exactly fair in the sense that nobody knows what Krystal's home may of looked like, and most of the descriptions of her home were pulled out of my ass. But going off of what she had on her (a fucking spear and primitive clothes) and what her social status was among them (high class), I thought my assumptions were justified.

I wouldn't say South America had it easy in terms of war, it's probably a more tactical thing since Middle and South American warfare never moved on from primitive tribal warfare while war was much more complex in Europe. The fact that some civilizations in the Americas had ridiculous religious beliefs that made the first Europeans that arrived appear to them as supernatural beings was a deciding factor as well.

So how are we going to do this thing? As I stated earlier comedy review stuff would probably lose its appeal after a while. If we are going to do an Encyclopedia type of thing we will have to find a drawfag.

As for doing it, I don't think we will need a drawfag. We might need one if we wanted specific representations for encyclopedia entries but we could still get away with using any image. The difference between our encyclopedia, or whatever it is we are doing, as compared to something like MGE is that ours will be "open source" so to speak. When KC does MGE, he does it by himself, and he makes money off of it (he sells books and shit). When we do it, we can have as many writers/developers as we want, we can vote on what we want and what we don't, and everyone will be able to see and take part of the development cycle and process. As if the whole thing itself was one big quest thread with more than one writer/GM to run it.

The reason why I mentioned something like RCR is because we need something to separate ourselves from /monster/. They already have an encyclopedia, so we need something original that isn't a rip off. If we do end up doing an encyclopedia style of work, we need something that separates us. My issue with KC's MGE and the community surrounding it is that they adhere too strictly to the MGE in some cases. With RCR, there is always a degree of uncertainty, allowing leniency on what the exact traits of a race are. I say this because no two people of the same race/species are the same. Sure, there are averages and stereotypes, but not everyone will follow them to the word.

Sounds alright, but we will still need people to draw something. I don't really know about using any image, seems a bit amateurish. Having a bit of original content with drawings and such would be preferable in my opinion.

The RCR posts that were made earlier seem more like someone writing a skit review than anything that could be used in a story. You get a basic outline of stereotypes, but nothing really substantial.

I had a basic structure in mind for this. You have a race and you give a basic description of it. Their customs, stereotypes and behaviour. Then you have a character belonging to that race to serve as a visual example, she doesn't have to reflect the stereotypes and typical personality for that race. She can be a completely unique character.

How do we go around describing other things like abstracts and racial traits? We have to have some kind of a setting in order to do this. I think a setting would be necessary because it better describes anthro females along with giving us more content to use.

There are also other things I would like to look at in our setting:
