There is a persistent problem of it not being easy to quickly find & anonymously buy non-commercial comics or art.
Something really needs to be done about this so it can encourage more to be made.
Most people wouldn't mind paying like $5 or so for a digital copy of a comic they want if it was easy to do.
However it might be best done as pre-orders advertised well before a release date, that way a bulk of the sales are done initially, so that the digital copies aren't floating around the web for free before people are aware of them being available for purchase.
But of course physical copies are still nice too.
