Ever since Markiplier let it be widely known that his brother does TwoKinds, his fanbase, who are considerably younger than what you'd might expect, have shifted over and started reading it. This is the exact reason of why I don't read the comic (That, and it's fucking garbage). So yeah, my guess is that since he's got a younger demographic attached to him now, there's no way in fuck he's gonna go all the way through with it.

That's something that has really baffled me about twokinds. The amount of actual fanart is really low considering the thing has been running for over 10 years now.

Most of the "fanart" is nothing more than really poor edits of official art. There's probably dozens of edits of that "bound fem mike" pic with the face of every single female cut straight from the comic and slapped into it.

There are 1188 pics tagged as 'twokinds' on e621. But if you remove the pics with tags 'edit' and 'tom_fischbach' from them, you only get 229 pics, which are supposedly the fanart drawn by people. Quality is subjective of course but there's a lot of really bad DA-tier animu stuff there that can be discarded so the actual number of really good fanart pieces of twokinds is around 50 to 75 pics and many of them drawn in the past year or two.

So, either twokinds is not as popular as Tom claims or most of it's fanbase are DA kids whose only artistic skill is doing copy/paste or adding a curved line and four circles or a poorly drawn dick to official art.

This is just shit-tier kemonomimi garbage, anyway.

If you had to write a good plot for TwoKinds while preserving the general premise, how would you do it? Hard mode: take what's already been done so far and save it.

Here's my take, prepare for autism:

>there can still be a pre-amnesia Trace as a charismatic Grandmaster, focus isn't on him and his unexplained disappearance is a background event that places the Templars in an unstable situation just like the monarchy

>before the king died he was training Keidran slave soldiers (Janissary rip-off, with addition of semi-freedom for service) in order to shore up the monarchy's power and prepare for civil war with Templars

>Keidran Janissary general tries to convince one of the king's sons to continue the effort (gay romance here because I'm a faggot who enjoys the idea of a slave manipulating a highborn)

So, as mentioned on that last post, Tom decide he'd take up commissions for some extra money along side the usual donations. Most were harmless; Natani and Keith having a bit of a romantic night with some wine. Nothing too jarring, at first. Enter a french forum user by the name of Leoian. This guy could have commissioned anything (within reason, and SFW) from the artist of his favorite webcomic. What does he commission?

His fursona (conveniently a tiger), with Flora on top of him (clothed so that made it ok). The moment he got this thing, he paraded it all over the damn forum like it was the Pope making a visit. What made it even weirder was the fact he then began to claim that his OC was in fact Flora's brother. Most of the other forum goers didn't call him out on the bullshit, it was a commission from Tom and SFW despite the suggestive posing, and if it was good enough for Tom to draw, it was ok for them, right?

Then suddenly, his name popped up on some commissions on FA. But these weren't the SFW stuff he had Tom make him. No, these were his OC, the self proclaimed brother of Flora, fucking her senseless.

At this point people started to ask questions, most along the lines of "you know that's fuck up, right?". His excuse was that given it was fantasy, incest was ok, and most of the admins were quick to hush any threads that brought the issue up and Leoian was quick to remove any questions on his FA submissions. It finally reached a head when Leoian finally saved up enough of his parents hard earned money to commission on of the biggest artists on FA; Strype. But it's not the choice of artist that sparked the flames, it was what Leoian had Strype put in the description, stating that Flora was in fact his character and not Tom's.

Naturally, the fanboys immediately went into a frenzy and called out the bullshit on Strype's page. Leoian, being the perfectly stable human being that he was, proceeded to tell the commenters to go fuck themselves (in broken english), but it wasn't his page this time, it was Strype's, and he couldn't make the mean comments disappear there. Eventaully, Strype spotted the backlash and moved to have the detailed changed to state that the OC belong to Leoian, and that Flora belong to Tomfishbach.

Now at this point, Leoian is in a corner. He can't censor the feedback, and Strype is about to change his little self circle jerk fantasy commission (literally, it was a comission of him jerking himself of while Flora fingered herself).

So what does he do? He reaches into the farthest confines of his ass and pulls out the biggest bullshit excuse he could grab. Stating that that female was in fact NOT Flora, but rather a totally original OC by the name of Fauna (who happened to look just like Flora with a darker shade of hair). From then on, all his commissions would explicitly state that this strangely similar tiger was NOT Flora, but Fauna.

From there, you'd think he'd be done pursuing his creepy incest fantasy with the co-main protagonist of Twokinds, right? WRONG. According to Badwebcomics, he began lurkeing the comic's IRC demanding the moderators gave him that status on the forums, and supposedly stalking Tom at some of the conventions that he went to demanding that he make his OC an official character of the webcomic. After this and few other anttics, Tom finally had enough and gave the order to have Leoian banned.

But like all good stories, it doesn't end there. Undeterred, Leoian made his own webcomic, that just happens happens to mirror Twokinds all the way down to the plot, it's characters, and even it's fucking name (Project 2nd). The only distinct difference? You guessed it! Trace is conveniently absent with Mr.Tiger OC takes center stage

At this point, no one's really sure why Tom hasn't come out and sued him for copyright, maybe he doesn't want the publicity

There was an April Fools joke he did a few years ago where he was going to team up with the artist(s) who drew Yosh! and Caribbean Blue and create a subscription porn site featuring the characters from their comics uncensored. It was really legit looking, too, had a "free preview" gallery with new censored art and clicking on any of it took you to a credit card payment page and everything. Probably wouldn't have lasted very long anyway judging by the way Patreon stuff gets passed around these days. Honestly, I think that's the one thing he did somewhat okay-ish in the comic. Eric is like an Uncle Tom, and all his slaves treat him like their best friend rather than their master (at least the female ones do). There's also a lot of implied sexual harrassment/molestation/rape of slaves. Could be better though, you're right.
