and just ink it with that.
you can adjust line weight, thickness and even artificially make it look like actual "strokes".
it'll still look like there's no "flow" or "life" unless you get /really/ good at it but it's good with enough practice.

Besides, abstraction layers suck for realtime systems. Even if you make a super nice abstraction layer, you will still miss out on the extensibility features only possible with LV2, AND features only possible with AU, so you get this awkward compromise between the standards that doesn't really take advantage of any of them. I'd like to focus on making it embeddable too, which is something LV2 people actually care about, especially with the Mod Duo coming out.

It's the dream, but I'm happy even if it doesn't. If I make it hard realtime, efficient, and permissively licensed, it could at least be grounds for hardware companies to use LV2 plugins in their hardware synths, like what Mod Duo is already doing with effects.
With the LV2 people having a prime focus on efficiency, extendibility, and less a focus on flashy GUIs and memes, I could definitely see a day where they are used in "extensible hardware synths" where, like the Mod Duo, you can install your own LV2 synths into them.
