 No.503548

So the pedo sites are getting a lot more active in spamming the /furry/. Is there a way to stop or slow this? Something needs to be done.

 No.503551

Only solution really is more mods.

Or maybe a certain number of reports could automatically kill a post? Might be open to abuse.

 No.503552

>>503548

They behave so predictably it'd be trivial to autoban them (cycles through the same handful of shorturl bullshit patterns). The impossible part is convincing anyone to actually do that.

 No.503567

>>503551

Oh yeah, that totally isn't going to be abused at all.

>Only solution really is more mods.

How about setting up a fucking wordfilter already as /cuteboys/ did? It changes phrases like "top-babe" and all those into "Link filtered, REPORT THIS POST"

 No.503579

Not a end all solution but you could make a filter for ".com" or anything similar in the subject line on /furry/. Thats what I did.

Baneposting is the answer.

 No.503581

>>503579

You get that like 99% of the links are ending in the weirdest and most various domains, right? Yeah, the last one was .com, but there were .ca, .net, .us and every kind of domains

>>503580

.ru there

 No.503594

I thought that capatcha would deter the spam? That's pretty unusual.

 No.503612

>>503594

They're not bots. U18-chan apparently had the same problem.

They set up a shit ton of fucking countermeasures and the whoever keeps posting this shit got past all of them.

More mods would be nice; MZD and Puppysky usually play too much vidya anyhow. I also agree with >>503579 in that there should be a word filter, but I don't see how we couldn't just ban users who post it instead.

 No.503637

It's probably all the fucking zombie nodes that germany's darknet controls.

It gets spammed all over the site, /loli/, /tot/, /cgiloli/ got spammed the most because they lack preventative measures. Ultimately there is no way to stop it entirely, it's going to happen, and the only recourse is reporting.

There is nothing else you can do.

 No.503639

>>503612

Yeah, they need to open up more mod positions. I mean, I've got nothing better to do so I could be one.

 No.503641

>>503639

>giving more furfags power

A MISTAKE

 No.503668

>>503569

Good idea, but a better one would be a way to auto-permaban those who put the phrase in instead.

>They're not bots

I have a hard time believing they're not, because I don't know a single person this determined just for pedoshit spamming, and I'm pretty sure that even the biggest autist wouldn't unironically make posts look that stupid.

If they really aren't bots, then what the fuck is even going on?

 No.503744

>>503668

Permabans dont stop automated botnets. We've been over this.

 No.503916

>>503696

Well you got to look at money that is being made.

Most of these sites posts I assume are sites used to blackmail. They'll probably give you some CP or something incriminating along with ransomware and have you pay up.

So it's easy to have bots posts as long as a real person is filling out the captcha.

Just remember for CP/Spam, GLOBAL REPORT. Do not Report.

Global mods will take care of things that go beyond board rules. These are global rules being broken.

Do your part and report, it's the only thing we can do until something to stop this is implemented.

 No.503921

>>503916

Ah, okay then, I hadn't considered that.

 No.504082

>>503668

>a way to auto-permaban those who put the phrase in instead

Two problems whit that:

>posters just connect on a different proxy/vpn from the node of the vpn they use under it anyway

Meanwhile

>actual posters who do nothing wrong, but complain and say it get permabanned and if retarded enough, has to wait the full 4 week ban (as the IP archive of 8chan lasts only one month roughly)

 No.504089

I know they can just switch their domain if you word-filter them, but… I know this might sound controversial, but what about something like Reddit shadowbans? I mean, make some keywords make the post invisible, leaving the spammer confused whether anyone saw the post - which already happens as nobody posts in these threads but they still get ignored.

To prevent the abuse we could limit this to site owner and not board owners, enforce some mandatory monthly disclosure on how many more items were added into the filter, and do not ban the posters automatically, merely hide their particular spam posts.

 No.505315

File: 1457160258992.jpg (8.93 KB, 203x250, 203:250, pedophiliac warning.jpg)

I have actually been seeing this through all boards today. (Globally) reported all of them. I saw it in /fs/ /a/ /b/ /co/ /cuteboys/ etc…

I usually use a vpn/proxy while posting because the current network I have in my apartment has retarded filters. So IP banning I don't think would be a good solution.

A hash check for images would only be a minor inconvenience for pedos, as editing 1 pixel would change the entire hash.

Word filters will only go so far. You could have all the urls in the image they post.

In the end, I agree with >>503637 , and that it ultimately comes down to global reporting.

 No.505317

>>504089

Shadowbans don't work on imageboards.

 No.505565

>>505317

Which is just as well, really. I've changed IPs by accident, it's not hard on purpose.

The spam is generally predictable enough to easily filter.

see what I don't get is what is their aim. Are people that dumb to actually click blatant clickbaits like that.

I mean if was more coy and stuff I would understand but showing a picture of little girl with the caption. HOT LOLITA ONLY 6 YR OLD and stuff. Is like a red flag on par with

>HELLO MY NAME IS ABAYOMRUNKOJE I AM THE PRINCE OF ERITERA AND WE HAVE COME TO YOU DUE TO A NOTIFICATION WE RECEIVED FROM OUR NATIONAL TREASURER………….

 No.505609

>>503696

Don't need bots when you have autism, and/or can underpay third-world people who probably don't even speak the language to copy-paste links and pics all day.

>>505605

There's a sucker born every minute. Especially when people think with their dicks, and pedos are not known for their discretion. (Unless they're connected to the British government)

We already kinda have the closest thing we can get to shadowbans without opening it up to abuse - threads with no replies get auto-pruned after page 4.

Maybe that should be a per-board setting, I haven't seen any non-spam threads here reach page 2 without at least one reply.

 No.508634

just a random thought, but has anyone tried actually reporting the pedo site that keeps getting spammed here to the partyvan?

US domain registration, clearnet, http, it can't be that hard for someone with the means and the job description necessary to use them to follow the money.

 No.508635

>>505605

You would be surprised how many fucking retards go to those links. They could probably hire chinese child slaves to spam that shit and make a profit out of it.

 No.508661

>>503916

One problem, the following pops up when you go to Global

>Updated October 25, 2015: This form must no longer be used for botspam. We have no better tools to handle it than board owners do. Encorage board owner to enable antispam settings up to and including CAPTCHA if simple IP bans do not work.

>>508661

that's talking about Bui's board sliding shit idiot

 No.508742

>>508634

In all honesty, there's a significant chance that this is all a fed honeypot in the first place.

 No.508890

this shits been going on across all sorts of sites for a few years now, IIRC i first saw it being spammed on fchan to the point where it'd push legit threads halfway down the damn page.

I just want to know who the fuck keeps posting this shit
