I don't usually save porn on my computer. I can readily look it up and I have a plethora of selections. Besides, I'd personally rather find new things instead of fapping to the same shit over and over again.

The porn I do save is for art reference, and I save them in a respective reference folder, so it's no big deal.

Also nobody uses this computer other than me. I've doubled down to make sure of that.

in a horrible labyrinth of folders, some of which are sensibly laid out, others not

mostly because i tend to open 100s of images in tabs, then save them all later, so sometimes i can be bothered sorting them by artist/fetish/whatever, but other times it's just "[site name] dump" or my favourite "temporary storage #" (the # should indicate that they're very rarely sorted out later so aren't temporary at all)

if they scanned my brain they'd probably notice changes similar to a london taxi driver's for memorizing all the routes to the image i'm thinking of, it's very rare that i struggle to find anything and when i do it's usually just the thumbnail (i.e. i got the location itself correct, like getting to the right street but there's 200 different stores and you've got to look out for the right one.), kek.

I was thinking sorting all my images into one large folder and having them all labeled with some sort of tag system kinda like e621 but I have no idea how the hell I will accomplish that with over 19 gigs of furry porn and 23 extra unsorted gigs consisting of siterips and yiff.party downloads.

I have a password protected external hard drive that is full of porn. Folders separate basic types such as furry or loli, gay and straight. Also have a few folders of unsorted shit. I have heard of Hydrus but I haven't gotten around to using it.

I save it and then directly add it to the relevant folders before doing anything else, or if I'm iffy on keeping it I'll save it to the "to be sorted" folder instead and then when Im not lazy I'll sort it out of said folder.

I used to be autistic and organize it all by category and respective subfolders.

Then I kept downloading more and more porn almost every day, to the point that I just stopped giving a fuck and have it all randomized except for comics. That way it mixes things up when I tug my turkey.

I use a program I devised to sort by general fetish (actually that's manual right there) then by year than by first letter in the file name. As you can expect, most things end up in 0-9, but nevertheless it's pretty convenient for me.

Other than that why the fuck would I want to? I have so much porn all I need to do is go back a year or two and it's like fresh all over again.

If you'd like to recreate it yourself (in C#):

You can combine them pretty easily with a little common sense, or compile them individually and run as intended.

It's a little messy because I just started doing it this way, and at least one of them has an in-house library, but I did my best to make it as readable and ready-out-of-the-box as possible.

It's also kinda shitty because I never planned on sharing it but whatever.

Hydrus is a local booru. You add tags to images and do searches by tags.

Use Visipics if you want to find duplicates/similar images in whatever folders you want in your computer.

Bought a raspberry pi and hosted my own MyImuoto booru server with a .horse web domain. now everything is tagged and available if I wanna fap at work.
