There was a recent update because I got tired of the mods notifying me all the time.
I also don't have a mediafire account, and I know, dropbox is a bit shit because they allow only X amount of downloads.
Some items are banned, just because they're so overpowered that I can't justify leaving them in.
>Quantum Power Armor
>the ic2 enchanter machine (this can crash stuff)
>Mint seeds (villagers can still trade mint, you just can't farm it)
>ball-o-moss (can be found in dungeons, just isn't craftable)
>cloud in a bottle (also can be found in dungeons)
>golden egg (also can be found in dungeons)
>crystal chest (because the rendering of entities is equivalent to a stacks of items on the ground never despawning)
>quarries and fillers are banned because of world holes and lag
Ic2 miners are ideal because they pull ores out from a radius around the mining pipe, use those instead.
Recipe changes:
>caffeine pills require coffee
>nether hoppers use ignatius ingots instead of blaze rods
>hoppers require a bucket and hopperduct
>hopperducts are cheap

GreenThumb has no update available, so there's nothing I can do there.
I'm completely at a loss here. I can only try removing the erroring mods and hope it starts up again. Otherwise that might be the end for this world.
I've found numerous posts about state engine errors, but each one has a different solution, most of which involve updating or removing mods that this pack doesn't have.

I don't get why you don't use a modpack host like ATLauncher or something. Makes keeping people update easy as hell, minimizes the versioning issues, and keeps people from having to manually fuck around with jar files and other stuff that is about as intuitive as a chinese users manual to most regular users.
Sure, people without minecraft accounts couldn't use it, but for those people you could leave a link to the actual files and let them figure it out. At least that way you'd cut down on 90% of the errors and bullshit.

> Removing the erroring mods did allow the server to start up finally, but because there are fatally missing blocks/items it prevents clients from joining.
I don't see why this would prevent clients from joining. Unless you did something terribly wrong, mod blocks cease to exist on the map the moment you remove the parent mod, Forge even warns you about this the first time you try starting up without the mod(s) present.
Additionally clients doesn't refuse to connect simply because it has mods the server doesn't, those mods simply doesn't activate (unless marked as local-only, such as Optifine).

The majority of people here wanted a pirate friendly server, so that would already cut out the majority.
Also, not only is there a readme file that takes you step by step through opening your minecraft folder, making a new folder, dragging and dropping the mods/config folders into, and creating a profile to use it, there's even a script included that does everything but create the profile on the launcher.

Yeah I realize that, that's why it didn't make any sense to get that error.
I got back to work on figuring it out as soon as I woke up, and scoured more forums.
Apparently, this error happens when there is a config mismatch, so I copied my configs over to the server, and sure as shit the server started without pneumaticraft/d3core/greenthumb.
Going to see what re-adding them does.
No.511938
>>511909
Okay, I have re-added these mods, with no errors.
I've copied my mods/configs to the archive as-is, the server isn't committing suicide.
I'm going to restore the old region data to bring back the deleted pneumaticraft stuff, and I have to change the backup rules because at one point the server did run out of space.
It should take maybe an hour to restore the region data, and I'm just excluding that server suspending mod because I'm not entirely confident in it to begin with.
I'll probably contact the server host to see if they can fix the command scheduler.

Well the second rollback did not restore the pneumaticraft stuff in-world.
The mods all seem to be behaving properly, I'm disabling auto-restart to be on the safer side with accumulating backups and crash logs.
To anyone that lost their pneumaticraft stuff, sorry about that, but I couldn't have predicted how this would go down.
The modpack is updated on dropbox, I recommend just deleting the folder you have and running the automate script to set it up so it's all fresh.
If there's any more game breaking crashes like this, then I think I'll switch to a different pack.
No.512122
>>511894
> so that would already cut out the majority
What? How exactly?
You slap up the modpack on some pack host and post a name or link, that solves the problem of versioning for the majority of people.
You then put the actual pack files in a zip and upload them to dropbox or someshit, that solves the issue of having no mojang account (as well as the "botnet" issue >>511835 mentioned).
Finally you disable online mode on the server, thus allowing everyone to connect and resolving the "pirate friendly" aspect of the server.
Done, done and done.
> not only is there a readme … there's even a script included that …
Well obviously that isn't working, considering how many posts there have been with people either asking for help with installation, or asking for help regarding connection errors caused by versioning issues.
No.512152
I have no idea what you did to break everything, but shit's broken. MC doesn't even start before throwing a massive log of errors. This is probably the cause:
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\yiff\mods\1.7.10\CodeChickenLib-1.7.10-1.1.1.99-universal.jar (The system cannot find the file specified)
at java.util.zip.ZipFile.open(Native Method) ~[?:1.8.0_73]
That file exists in the modpack, but when I try running MC while it exists something called CB's deploader runs itself and deletes it. Apparently it's some sort of a program that checks that mods are working fine, but this time it's deleting something crucial or something. There's another version of that same file(?) named CodeChickenLib-1.7.10-1.1.3.138-universal.jar in the same folder.
If only I knew something of MC modding. All the "help" I could find with google is something like "deploader is crucial, don't touch it" with no mention of what it actually does or how to configure it.
Fantastic.

But such a great automated script you have when all it does is… absolutely not a fucking thing. Just deleted all the crap it creates and nothing changed.

Well excuse me princess, but it worked for some people.
I can't test it for myself because I don't run windows, so anyone saying "it doesn't work" doesn't tell me why it isn't working.
Not that I've ever claimed it's a "one click installation solution", but the entirety of the script is just for creating the profile folder and copying the mods, config, and script files to that new folder, and then running the forge installer since so many people complained that they couldn't follow the instructions in the readme file to open a folder, make a new folder, and drag & drop the folders into it.
So maybe instead of crying that the script didn't work, post some useful information like an error that it spits out so I can work on fixing it for ungrateful little shits like yourself demanding that everything be tailored to your needs for no compensation, when it's already being given to you for nothing, you greedy cunt.

Test 1: Eucalyptus. Works just as you'd expect it to.
Test 2: The Sacred Oak that was on my backyard. At first, I thought it didn't work because only 1 block popped out. Then me and the other person on the server timed out. When I got back in, the tree turned into a fountain of wood blocks and saplings. It took about 1000 durability despite the Unbreaking enchant, or 2/3rds of the durability of the diamond axe.
Test 3 was supposed to be a redwood. It hasn't been done yet. I believe it will have results similar to the sacred oak test. Maybe I'll do it at some point when I'm alone on the server. Hopefully the axe will have enough durability for one once I fix it.

You can make a breeding machine using minecarts and redstone.
>animals kept in moving minecarts wont dismount when chunk unloads
>tracks can be pushed to hover over air with pistons
>when breeding, the game randomly chooses which animal is "female", this affects the design since you have to account for the possibility that the child drops from either parent
>use redstone to bring animals from looping track to feeding window and send back with timer controlling how long it takes before they can be summoned again

Actually, after testing for a bit, turns out they fixed the rails being able to float when pulled by a sticky piston.
Luckily, rails can be placed on spectre glass, which lets mobs fall through, and redstone/redstone paste can be placed on this as well. So this can still work.

I may have accidentally the whole server.
One meme master planted a giant beanstalk (from Twilight Forest mod) on my backyard and I tried to remove it with treecapitating axe.
Result? As soon as I touched it, crash.

Well, the server is up now, maybe try removing it with fire next?
No.515005
It's not up tho. Can't join.
Also, already tried fire. It's inflammable.
Plus my treecapitating axe vanished as it caused(?) the crash.
