I've tried it once, and that was a shitty experience.
No, it wasn't the lack of graphics that turned me off, it was just the people.
I've never found a hive so full of self absorbed people in my entire time in the fandom. When I went in, I was expecting to be able to roleplay with other people. What I got was a bunch of people whining, a couple people actually RPing but they were doing it in the main area and not allowing anyone else in so it made no damn sense to do it there.
And they had a character creation guideline you had to follow. So I followed it fully, descriptive but not overly descriptive and being the maximum of one page. So what happens when I get in? Everyone's descriptions were pages upon pages upon pages of useless information that did nothing but fluff up the word count.
Hell, Furcadia was better than that, and I'm glad MUCK/MUDs are going to be a dead format.
