Welcome to /furryedits/ !
This board is for the sharing of 'photochops' of Furry, Kemono, or other anthropomorphic artwork that you've edited to be more relevant to your interests.
Acceptable postings include adjusting poor artwork, desktop wallpapers, turning a sketch into a completed picture, dewatermarking, animations and Emofuri, webcomic edits, adding a wang, removing a retard's murrsona, OCDNS'ing someone else's OCDNS, and so on.
Yes, the board is all about unauthorized distribution of modified works that VIOLATE ARTISTS NATURAL RIGHTS OMG, but including a copy of the original or a link will save people having to ask whose art you just pixelraped.
It's a good idea for uploads to have an explanation of why/how/what has been done to an image. If there's anything you've learned from the editing process, share that knowledge as well! For obvious reasons, uploading in PNG format is preferable to JPEG or GIF; PSD and XCF files can be distributed with https://pantsu.cat. (2015-09-28 edit: got a site to use!) Original content is allowed if it with the intention of giving it to others to mash on freely if they care.
VERY NOT ALLOWED Requesting topic thread dumps, edit request threads, and otherwise begging for Free Arts because you don't want to move your dominant hand to the mouse and Photoshop the penis in yourself. The "YOU'RE SO GOOOOD! DO MOAAARRR!" circlejerking guys can also Fuck Right Off.
While casual art practice is totally okay, multiple threads of low quality work will make the board owner pick internet fights with you (if you're new to this, or too retarded to improve, keep it in your very own special thread!), as well as posting rote replies like how SWEATY WITH AROUSAL you are to every damn upload.
Images with real-life CP sources, or content edited to resemble these aren't allowed. Soliciting payment here for chopping other people's work is a B&4u2. (2015-09-28 edit: allowing photomorphs now)
Tracer drama threads: are permitted! Thumbs up to exposing perps making monies off vegetables who've never seen an Evangelion or Fate/stay Night doujin (90% of DrComet's customers..) Non-art-related drama like mainstream politics will get nuked-- lulz.net is still there for all your dullposting needs, furfriend.
Identity leakage: Image file formats can include user information, so be careful of that-- so an eager White Knight can't dox for an artist that's throwing a fit over their fursona's boobs being made bigger and becoming your waifu. Some recommended metadata stripping tools are: ...?

Winfox fursuit edits
What do we say to the God of Ugly Fursuits?
Not Today!
Yo. Board Owner here, seeding the place up with content before making it public to give people an idea of what the board is for.
I'm a fan of Winfox's fursuits, but a lot of the time they can be 'shopped a bit to make better images. It's usually a guy in the suits, and sometimes it shows, but GIMP's "iwarp" tool can curvey-up the fursuit's figure. GIMP and Photoshop also have "smart content removal" filters ('resynthesizer' in GIMP) that's a godsend. The Clone tool is also important for anyone wanting to edit pics too.
(And yes, if you take a close look at the background you'll see glitches, but the trick to not waste hours on edits is to realize what's perceptible..)
Watersports/piss
I've taken to editing images to satisfy my insatiable desire for an already-niche fetish.
The issue is, I'm not really an artist, so even drawing a stream of piss is a challenge for me. I'd appreciate advice or instruction on that front, though I suspect this particular topic is outside the area of expertise for most people here.
The /furryedit/ ops thread
Post any board or admin related discussion here
Post your attempts at banners here and I'll probably add them--but they _have_ to be 300x100 pixels, just in case you weren't aware. Having some Custom flags based on animals/paint programs would neat too.
For metadata stripping, on Linux I'm using ImageMagick's "mogrify -strip +repage ...", which seems to work for GIF+PNG+JPG.
Framing!
>I iz Digital Artist
>I don't put any thought into is presentation on digital medium
Student Photographers have composition drilled into them from the second they start-- 'the rule of thirds', and so on. Porn photographers have it even easier, as the 'gaze' is almost always to the same places, only occasionally complicated when there's a prop included.
Nearly all of my uploads here have been 'wallpapered', in that they're edited into a screen-size, but it's done more to improve the gazing-- let's not make it harder to see what we actually want to look at.
Pic #1: the original --
Pic #2: the gazing areas. The belly and the black leather pants -are- an interesting feature of the drawing, but...
Pic #3: trimming to the bottom of the belly-- looks okay and the gaze locations are 'balanced' across the screen, but...
Pic #3: ..what the wallpaper'ing ended up being.
As with photography, it's bad to break a line since a 'broken' object draws undue attention, so the handbag needed to include completely, making the trimming point a bit lower than just the bottom of the belly.
Anyway, that's my amateur opinion on things.
Artfix of https://www.furaffinity.net/view/15969879/
Not buying the convex roller-coaster track look.
Rotating the image left the head at a weird angle (..another problem with the original), however the IWarp tool has a 'CCW' twisting distortion-- make the area about the size of the head (140 pixels?), set the amount to about 0.20 (i.e: a lot), and click on the face 1 or 2 times.
Contrast fixing was a Unsharp mask, size 400, amount 0.1.
I'll probably wallpaper this, where the framing will have just the head to knees in shot, and the original's stupid rotation would get in the way.
A tutorial for basic body morphing in Gimp
Here's the basic process that I've been using for a lot of morphing, be it breast expansion, pregnancy, muscles, or even just artwork fixups.
You'll need to be familiar with using layers in the paint program, obviously.
The first stage is really to get the base image in a state where it's really for morphing, by doing any cleanup, framing, etc.
Note that I've taken these screenshots from an completed XCF file, so the 5 layers are already present-- while going through each stage, you will need to create a layer and paste the work in.
